Yeah… The thing is that I find it hard to use the sheets to make palettes, it´s just how I´m built. And if you want to know I use usenti, I find it really easy to work with it for paletting and such.

Only having the Serra replacement as a thief sounds like it could be pretty annoying.
Maybe we can give bow units access to better sight and using lockpicks?
Maybe we can give Dancer & Bard access to steal?
That way while the Thief can do both, your thief would not be the only one able to use lockpicks and stealing. (Pretty limiting for only one unit to be one ngl.)

I ran some numbers a day or two ago, and a -atk/+def, male!General Athos hits some very satisfying stat benchmarks.

If I’ve calculated correctly, this would make his statline be (capped stats bolded):

(Even with the STR bane, General!Athos will still hit his STR cap.)
Notable thresholds this hits:
- Survives being quadded by a 30 STR unit with any brave weapon with 1 HP remaining, provided he isn’t at weapon triangle disadvaantage.
- Faces 0 crit from a 30 SKL, S bows unit with a +5 crit weapon (such as a buffed!Brave Bow). This incidentally means that enemy phasing two capped STR brave bow nomad troopers at the same time is entirely safe (and will leave him at exactly 1 HP).
- With a pure water or barrier boost, survives a crit from a capped MAG Luce Bishop.
- Comfortably takes a Gespenst hit from a capped MAG/SKL Druid with no chance of death.
- Not weighed down by Brave Axes. Armads only weighs him down by 1 AS.
- Starts with S ranks in 3 weapons.
- Can’t be one-shot by the Fire Dragon replacement, even if it rolls up on its STR HMBs and has 40 ATK (which causes it to one-shot vanilla Athos).
This is mostly just me playing around with the system, of course, and how strong/weak Athos’s build is isn’t an inherent positive or negative. But if you’re stuck on deciding on a build, this one has some satisfying green numbers, is pretty unique amongst the cast, and is well-suited for the role of being an anti-softlock failsafe (the player will be guaranteed to have a unit who can draw out the Light Pt. 1 bosses safely and survive a round of combat with the final boss in Light Pt. 2).
This technically totals to 310%, not 305%. IDT it’s significant enough to matter, but I thought I should point that out.
The Nino replacement is also a Thief, although they join quite late.
clearly the solution is to give the Serra replacement Merlinus-like immortality

So… the progress of the hack is going great! However soon enough I’ll make an announcement about a route that I’m planning to follow so i can continue working with the hack calm & collected. Don’t worry it’s nothing serious that happened with me or anything, just something that i think might be the best so i can have a better focus on releasing this PME.
There’s only one thing that i need to know right now for the moment, later on i can worry about the rest of things:
@Jonah_07! About your character Olympus; since Barons can’t use magic in this hack, I’m thinking of still having Forblaze be a prf weapon of your unit but instead turn it into a magic sword instead! Basically having the same stats, but with a name & icon of your choosing, how do you like this idea?
Now about Aureola… because there is another S rank light tome, Luce, i could also turn it into one of the other weapons that Barons can use…? Another thing that i’m thinking, funny enough, is transforming Aureola into a prf weapon for @TritraSerpifeu’s Zuiho! This is because the Fire Dragon replacer was made so that they AREN’T affected by any effective weapons, so there’s no real necessity of eff weapons against them. Dezdana, the Nergal replacer, would still be made vunerable to eff weapons like Aureola, so i could make the Sword Forblaze be effective against her, make Aureola Zuiho’s prf weapon, then finally buff Luce so that they are usable as a great S rank light tome (i don’t remember Luce’s stats at first).
How does these ideas look at first? I would love to know.
Since our three lords use light magic, swords, and axes, respectively, you could give the Athos replacement an inventory of:
Durandal (Athos replacement Prf)
Luce (now Prf-locked, Eliwood replacement Prf)
Armads (Hector replacement Prf)
Sol Katti (Lyn replacement Prf)
Forblaze (S rank anima tome, no longer Prf-locked)
If you opt for the magic sword angle instead, do note that magic swords are a little bit jank in vanilla fe7, and if this one is in a new item slot, it wouldn’t halve the user’s POW at 2 range like the light brand and wind sword do. That might be easy to label as a unique feature/perk of the prf sword, though? “Prf: Olympus. POW-RES. Does not halve POW at 2 range.” ![]()
