Haven’t played FE3 in a looong while, I’ll be sure to try out your patch! Thank you for your work!
And also, Again, TIKI. IS. A. CHILD!. C.H.I.L.D.
Why people think she would talk normally anyway?
Update: v1.1!
Changelist v1.1:
-Implemented narrower spacing on the dialogue font (thanks CedAodh), which I think is easier to read, and reformatted dialogue to accommodate it.
-Fixed several typos.
-A few dialogue rewrites for meaning and clarity.
-Horse patch is now separated into Horse, Horse_Text_J, and Horse_Text_E, where Horse contains just the code that changes the weapon effectiveness, and the text patches edit the text where the effectiveness of the weapons is discussed/represented. People have been using the gameplay patches with other translations, and changing the dialogue with the horse gameplay changes may cause bugs in other translations, which I don’t want.
-Changed the names of some things in version E to match official names more.
-Fixed Ricardo’s enemy palette in version E.

May I ask which program you used to edit the rom?
The program Sable (included in the buildfiles) edits the rom by inserting all the text and ASM in the project files.
So I use sable to patch the rom and can also use it to create my own rom patches?
Yes, exactly.
Is there a tutorial for sable editing anywhere?
I really love that each unit has its own palette now. But I like the font displaying characters’ stats in KrashBoomBang’s patch more. I wonder why you don’t use that since it looks more modern.
Other than that, all the updates sound great. Giving characters unique palettes really makes me want to play the game more.
Thank you for making this ![]()
That font makes it difficult to include the bigram numbers required for the hit rate patch. Plus, I personally like the font I used more. I am working on the other font as an option, though.
It’s ok that’s not a big deal. I have played until chapter 5 and I must say the hit rate patch is really REALLY GOOD. Now I can’t imagine myself playing any other rom that does not have these true displayed hit values. Great job!
Yeah, When I was working on the translation and playing through the chapters, and had to deal with the original behavior of the displayed hit values it really got to me, and I thought, “This sucks. I really have to fix this.” And that’s how the hit rate patch was born.
Mamkutes still appears in the Book 1 introductory text - was the translation only patch file definitely updated?
This was an oversight. Version 1.2 is in progress, which fixes numerous typos and oversights, and also has some font work done in the save/chapter menu. It should be finished soon.
Update: v1.2!
Changelist v1.2:
-Implemented variable width font in the save/chapter menus, and the ending turn counts.
-Fixed some typos and naming consistency oversights.
