I generally associate Dorothea more with the Dancer class. Either way, that’s a very, very uninspiring amount of magic users. As far as I can tell, the only one I even like is Micaiah, and I haven’t even played RD.
Ooooh trust me if you’ve played you wouldnt like her. She is extremely weak unless attacking low res enemies as she is a light magic user

Yeah I tend to judge and choose characters more on Character than raw stats. I know she’s weak, but I’ve heard that over half the Dawn Brigade is, and Goddamnit Give Me My God Damn Mage Lord Damnit.
Fair but she has 15 base hp with 40% growth and 2 def with a 20% growth in a physical heavy enemy game dont get me wrong with training she can smite folks but its the fact her high magic is trying to make up how weak light magic is.
I’m certainly willing to put training in.
Just don’t expect her to survive ANY combat with a str based unit including any wielding bows, handaxes, Javelins, and Crossbows.
Its just over half of em. ITS MOST OF THEM! Like I can name all of the strong units on a hand.
That being Nolan and Jill. Tauroneo isnt around enough to be considered and worst if you port a PoR save file over you can have Haar steal Jill from the Dawn Brigade same for Zihark and the Laguz.

I wanna add that the only characters I voted for that Actually Got In are Seteth and Claude. I think, I might’ve voted Lyn. But a lot of characters that got in aren’t really characters I care much about, anyone pre-6 are totally doomed as I’ve never played their game, 9 and 10 are the ones I know the most about out of the ones I haven’t played, but even then Ike and Micaiah are the only characters I actually even half-know, Wakey got Severa who’s like, I mean all the kid units are neat, that one had a pretty good chance of someone I like getting in, and the other one’s Olivia who I only dislike her class and how she looks and there are some unpleasant implications from the mix of those and her actual personality which go completely unsaid and jury’s out on how they affect my opinion of her anyway, Fates got the Arch-Creep Camilla and “Character I barely ever hear about”, and everyone from engage has the implicit “I Mildly Dislike You For Being In The Wedding-Ring Game but not nearly enough to really Care and otherwise don’t know anything about you”. Then FE6 I don’t really have strong opinions on anyone Not Named Lilina, and Roy has become a meme. Seven got Lyn, who I might’ve voted, and Ninian, who is probably a strong case for me judging Dancers overly harshly on Dorothea, I don’t actually know a lot about her, and 8 got A Bumbling Don Quixote and Character I Never Got Far Enough To Really Experience.
I’d probably end up using Echidna, I doubt I’ll hate her and I think she has a reputation for being a good unit?
She is a good unit as she is a female Hero(one of the first) and has very well stats her only problem is 9 con and starts with a steel axe which has the weight of 15.

does she have a purring cat in her lap trying to sleep yeah the gender-mismatched stats are well worth complaining about. axe users don’t like low con.
She is probably a Mercenary!Hero which would explain her low con as Raven a male mercenary has the same con as her when promoted. But Echidna has 35 hp, 13 str, 19 skl, and 18 spd very good combat stats with 8 def and 7 res backing it up
and mercs lean more towards swords, so…
Overall she is very good just for all that is holy to Mila get that steel axe off her maybe start her off with a blade in this hack than a steel axe.

High as she is a dragon-kin however are manakete would be an ice dragon instead of the usually holy dragon but there is also a case for not making her one as she is a half-breed.
However counter-point is making Olivia a Myrmidon as she is a sword wielding dancer.

I think I sent her to Pegaknight just 'cause it was more different from her base class than Myrm. Either way I’ll probably enjoy Olivia more as Not A Dancer, especially if she’s given a matching portrait update that’ll probably come with an outfit she’s more comfortable with.
By the way, are we doing another survey for the boss characters as well? Sacred Stones has over 30 bosses in the game, and that’s also count all the generic monster bosses.
I think every boss should be Nergal. : P

The thought was there but I think I’ll work on just the characters now and leave the bosses the same. Maybe version 2.0 might have the bosses switched too but thats down the line.
Yes, this is important lol. I had to look around and try to balance out the options that we got with what SS offers. Some people are true to their classes, some are fudged a bit. I think I’ll do cavalry with single weapons and give them the PoR promotion options where you pick a second weapon. From the results I have a bow cav and a sword cav. I messes around the option and gave myself 2 lance cavs. No axe ones though. Lots of fliers as you mention so I’m still looking at options for that but I expect this to be broken lol.
My thoughts for now, (pre any play testing) is to keep the bases the same as the character they replaced but change the growths to what that character has in their game. We’ll see how that looks and works
