Order of the Crimson Arm is a FE7 hack with a playable tactician. It’s complete and pretty high-quality. The tactician has a unique dark magic-using class, and is one of three lords (traveling alongside another of them throughout the game).
Legends of Avenir, a FE8 hack, is also one I would recommend. It’s not complete yet, but you can choose the tactician’s class, and there’s an interesting core mechanic of branched route splits that allow for incredible replayability.
