oh by the way
i remember when you were just starting out animating and you posted something on reddit. I said something like “you’ll get there!” on the topic of making really nice animations.
Well, you got there!

Yeaaaahhh
Just piercing frames left, and then I can worry about the OAM…
the cape seems to grow in length. is that an error or an RWBY thing because at this point idk. still an interesting use of motion blurs
Uhh, let’s just call it a RWBY thing. I may have gone a bit overboard with it.
Once again I had to remove frames to stay under the OAM limit but I think it still looks pretty good. (GIF is sped up for some reason)
And with sound: link removed
Yeah look in the grand scheme of things it still looks pretty gr8

This is sexy af!!!
The bgm is so good too, damn.
What sfx do you use when she swings her scythe before attacking?
I used Audacity to rip some sounds directly from the show. Gotta have that accuracy.
You WHAT? :0
Dear lord, that’s an amazing feat!
I think you’d get some thousands views if you posted that on YouTube.
Can confirm, would watch this animation 1000 times.
A little something I’ve been working on:
Biggest problem is finding a way to flag the new weapon as “temporary”. I’m thinking of using the top bit of item durability since no item needs more than 127 uses, but that’s going to affect a lot of routines. Maybe there’s a more elegant solution?
You NEVER fail to surprise me.
well that’s an interesting mechanic haha
What is this sorcery
It’s amazing
Holy shit, that’s an amazing concept.
Not sure how useful it is, but it’s interesting, nonetheless.
That’s quite interesting.
You are hacking GOD
Why are you so good at both animating and at least good enough to create this wizardry

He’s beginning to feel like a hack god, hack god.
Oh, that was nothing really. I just wrote a really simple “copy 2 bytes from A to B” routine and hijacked the Hammerne usability and targeting routines.
This, however:
Since it costs a turn to copy a weapon, you get 4 Enemy Phases and 3 Player Phases before it changes itself back at the start of Player Phase.
The only thing that bums me out about this hack are the mugs, to be honest.
Are they finalized?
