I didn’t actually want to post slop but like I felt bad that lances were left out.
You can list literally anyone that has ever used a lance (not restricted to just Fire Emblem games), so long as using a lance is part of why you like them.

The protagonist of my high school RPG Maker game used a lance (or I guess a spear, technically). Her name was Iris. She was cool. Maybe I should put her in an FE fangame…

The FE lancer chad himself, Ephraim. 
Dude took Fort Rigwald with just Reginleif (one of the coolest lances ever) and “3” allies. Then he got caught in a kill box and actually escaped it after fearlessly insulting a top general. After escaping, he CAME BACK to rescue his sister who was trying to rescue him! Then he launched a full on offensive against the enemy and broke all the way into their capital to slay their emperor right there on his throne, then rushed into the middle of a barren desert to rescue his sister AGAIN. Then he took back his country, lead a manhunt against the Demon King for defiling his best friend’s mind, body, and soul, and won that fight too 
Ephraim is the whole reason I want to see infantry lance units become a normal thing. And no, I don’t mean the generic soldiers that are rarely playable. I mean like a lance equivalent to Myrmidons and Fighters that non-royal and non-military people can be.

Sigma always coming in to one-up the bit, eh? In that case, let’s see… well, I was a Lance main in Monster Hunter 4, so I could say that my favorite lance-user is me. And I made you a lance-user in Spaghettimancer, so I could also say that my favorite lance-user is you! I’ll also shoutout Lao from Xenoblade X. Sure, his official artwork primarily depicts him with his sniper rifle instead of his spear, but he’s using the spear to stab the big bad when he delivers his most badass line: “You deal with a traitor. You really shouldn’t be surprised…when you get stabbed in the BACK!”
Anyway, for some romhack lancers, shoutouts to Ellerie from Cerulean Crescent and Scymerius from Hag in White.

Kain Highwind from Final Fantasy 4, Maxwell Trier from Triangle Strategy, Hong Lu from Limbus Company. Basically, anyone that uses lances/polearms in an acrobatic fighting style that is akin to dragoons. I find dragoons to be pretty neat. I guess I can count Remilia Scarlet too.

oh well if we’re not even limiting ourselves to Fire Emblem, then my top five are Estinien Wyrmblood, Estinien Wyrmblood, Estinien Wyrmblood, Estinien Wyrmblood, and ummmmm Estinien Wyrmblood.
Oddly enough, Bernadetta von Varley could make a decent FF Dragoon, given the training, as leaping into the stratosphere is probably something she’d like to be able to do, and she does have a lance strength.

Top of my mind comes Ephraim. Really doesn’t pick fights he can’t win.
Then comes Nephenee, I actually really like her thick accent and great combat potential.
Finally for non-FEs I also have to say Dragoons from Final Fantasy. Used to main that job as DPS in FFXIV and for characters it’s a toss between Estinien, Aranea and the OG Kain.

But jokes aside Nephenee as ofc playable solider but I just personally like the class cuz it’s the biggest of zero to hero stuff she is the main reason why I started making my ocs and why my guns was back then a good solid tanky unit, I’m also a sucker for Gwendolyn especially in some hacks. I also like lance cuz lance.

dont feel bad for leaving out lances. theyre the lamest weapon type by far. the only cool primary lance users are like. gaiden lukas and catria. i like them in other games tho, whenever i play morrowind physical characters i like going for spears
I beg to differ, they are not the worst “by far”.
ok i said it was lesk from dies and hes my fav gameplay wise but ive drawn fanart of danielle illuminated and not lesk so its probably a tie
