What classes would stick war units be?

If you’re familiar with the strategy game Stick War, you may have noticed some similarities between Stick war units and fire emblem classes. If you haven’t played it, you totally should. But anyway, I’ll get us started.

Swordwrath->Mercenary
These 2 are very, very similar. They carry themselves in the same confident way, they both two-hand swords that are at least half their size, they’re both all rounders, and they both have a jump attack that does extra damage (Mercenary Crit, Swordwrath Jump Strike).

Holy shit Stick War mentioned. I was playing that game again recently and thinking about how something like it could work in an FE style of game so this is wild

I think the most obvious one is Archidon, they’re literally just Archers/Snipers. They don’t really have any fancy abilities or unique identity.

My choice for Speartons would be Armor Knights. Speartons are tanky spear-wielding troops with shields, and the closest we have to a class like that is our bulky Armor Knights with impenetrable Defense stats.

Magikill are simultaneously really easy and really hard to place. Imo, they’re either FE2 Clerics or FE8 Summoners. FE2 Clerics can create hordes of summons, but their identity as primary healers doesn’t work too well, meanwhile FE8 Summoners feel a bit closer identity-wise, but can only have one summon at a time.

Giants are… Not really anything like a Fire Emblem class. You could say they’re somewhat similar to Brigand/Fighter I guess..? But meh, that’s a stretch imo

Nice takes! I think that speartons would be split between soldiers and knights, just for variety.

yes, they do

Given how 3H’s Demonic Beast category includes giant robots, I’d assume Giants would fall broadly within a similar category. Player-controlled beasts would be a pretty neat novelty, though I suppose the map design would have to take great pains to accommodate them.

IT’S SO FUN I LOVE FE2

Jank af game but super hilarious, each Cleric has their own unique summon that they can just make an army of, Silque can spam Dread Fighters it’s awesome

Only downside is on the later maps the sheer number of enemies makes you reach the unit cap before you even get the chance to do any summoning if you haven’t ritually sacrificed any of your player units :frowning:

Yeah, I considered Soldiers at first, and they’re not a bad fit, they definitely look more aesthetically close to Speartons, I just thought Knights fit a bit better cuz of their tankiness (and the GBA Knights’ chestplate doubles as a shield in their battle animation)

Uh, gentle reminder I don’t like being called dude… That does sound interesting though.

Yeah, I thought about that. I personally decided against counting Demonic Beasts as a class but Giants would absolutely take up a 2x2 space on the map like Beasts do

Oh mb, I just call everyone that. Will try to remember for next time

thank you

We’ve got some great points so far, but I notice a lack of stick war 2 and stick war saga units, and those guys are cool. So here’s my take on a couple.
Eclipsors would gargoyles with bows
Crawlers would be Mauthe Doogs
Stick war 2 magikill would be mages/sages(in stick war 2, magikill lose summons but gain different offensive spells)

Honestly I tend to forget about Stick War 2 cuz I never really enjoyed that game as much as the first. And I haven’t played any of the other games in the series so I can’t really talk about them

Yeah the beginning is kind of slow, and it has some problems, but it really shines near the end game I think. I haven’t been able to play much, because it runs at 2 fps for me.
