Real talk, DSFE had the best generic bosses.
That’s one of the things I miss from modern FEs: generic one-off bosses (Fates cut them down largely, Three Houses goes way too far and gives us like 50 bosses with like no special name or portrait BEFORE taking recruited students into account, and Echoes only had them because it’s a remake of a game with goofy one-off bosses).
tldr Generic bosses come back please.

He was a Cantor of the Duma Faithful. He spammed gargoyles in a swamp map. Kinda hurts if your fliers aren’t that good, but Palla exists so it’sn’t too bad.

It’s that time of year again.
Darr’s 2019 Retrospective
- Tried to make a translation patch for Megami Tensei 2
- Submitted a unit to the greatest gacha
- Entered MAFC 4 with a door maze
- Released The Arch of Coups, the greatest April Fools hack
- Updated it beyond April Fools to half work
- Tried modding Paradox grand strategy games for a bit
- Made a quick menu patch for a Chrono Trigger NES bootleg
- Actually played a good amount of hacks
- Started dabbling in writing reviews for these hacks
- Begun working on my FEE3 project: an FE1 port in SRPG Studio
- Took all the hacks on the Serenes directory and added them to the FEU one
- MAFC results finally came out: finished middle of the road - an improvement
- Released a demo of the FE1 port
- Got involved with Tale of Ternon and did a lot of the gruntwork
- Wrote a text editing tutorial to get some text burden off my back
Next year:
- Update a zombie project?
- Start more zombie projects
- See a bunch of 2020 memes
- Play some other stuff probably

I’ll be super unoriginal and did what Darr did and make a retrospective of myself.

Tried to make both a normal and a meme hack, neither of which took off.

Later started yet another normal hack, which later became Justice and Pride.

Added multiple units to the gacha

Made a smash-based MAFC since I became a smash player this year.

Actually got Justice & Pride released.

Worked on fixing post-launch bugs and other issues in J&P

I suppose I should get onto the bandwagon while it’s still hot.
- Actually put out a full length hack. While it’s officially called “The Burdened Crown” I occasionally call it Gerald’s Odd Campaign or something like that.
- Put up a few songs to the sound room.
- Helped make/polish a few animations, like improving the Black Beauty Falcoknight’s magic animation, and making the tarantula wizard a thing.
- Other stuff I’m forgetting at the moment.
Next Year:
- Finish up the loose ends and do some more balancing to the full length hack.
- Commit to Ghast’s MAFC to submit it on time
- Contribute some more to the community.
