The Hag in White [COMPLETE]

You could have fooled me into thinking you were a long-time sonic fan, but yeah hearing Ruby Delusions on the postgame was a dead giveaway lmao

My Dolus idea

Regarding Dolus I can imagine him being playable in one map, final 1

Basically I can imagine final being split in two parts, Dolus’s final battle and the tower battle after that. Final 1 is an impossible map with infinite enemies which ends when everyone who is deployed dies (protag can’t be deployed, dolus must be)

While Kyra and Apate won’t be there, any other named bosses in Final 1 you defeat won’t show up in Final 2, which results in that battle becoming easier.

Final 2 will be basically your crew against Kyra’s crew, a rout to the bitter end.

“Wow.”

That’s all I said after beating the hack for the first time. That was one wild experience. I don’t think I’ve played a hack like it. It has such a unique concept that I didn’t think I’d be down for, but it both narratively and in gameplay works so well. Glad to have experienced it completely blind.

Re: Hag in White villain edition, it did occur to me that the story feels designed to make that implausible. You could probably do something similar to the opening of Dark Stone by having Sandy chase Kyra through Tartaros for the first arc, but I can’t think of a way to justify her following Kyra into Glamorgan, since it’s a major plot point she can’t do that without starting a war. I also can’t see a reason for Eris and Reuben to join her, since they’re loyal to Delilah.

There’s also the fact that so many of the bosses end up playable anyway, especially if we count the postgame, so Sandy would have to end up killing half her army if you’re doing a straight “kill all the PCs” inversion. You’d likely have to pull a Dark Stone and pad the roster with tons of OCs.

The real challenge, of course, would be making this lovely cast suffer. I think it’s telling that even Rubenio couldn’t do that for 16x when he wrote some absolutely heartrending stuff for Dark Stone.

Completely valid points. However, regarding the Glamorgan arc, it could either be skipped with a time-skip or the story could be followed through Soter’s POV, as he’s the traitor? A FE8: Chapter 5X situation, in a way, with Pheme as the boss of the chapter. Since it’s a alternate universe anyway, Sandy could also recruit the characters that defect with Kyra in 16xx (Zaccheus, Laertes and Nikolaos).

I agree on the ‘making the lovely cast suffer’ part, though. It’s funny because I feel 16x was a lot better thanks to it, as it made sense that Sandy wouldn’t care whatsoever about them and never daydream about killing scrubs

It would be pretty funny if Aura accepted Zaccheus/Simeon’s offer to defect in this continuity.

Playable Aura and Cybele alongside gut wrenching boss conversations with Nicaea would make it really fun, ngl

I can’t help but smile imagining a 5x where Soter tells his version of events and makes Pheme out to be some super badass level 15 sniper.

Or 5x is just you and Pheme, murdering someone who doesn’t stand a chance. Rejecting difficulty to make a point. Perhaps even doing something like have Soter turn into a green unit to do the deed automatically if you try to stall the inevitable by not murdering Pheme for several turns.

But a Soter temporary lord could work pretty well to adapt this arc. And Soter would be a more normal Lord who isn’t some super soldier who must be OP to be done justice.

Just finished the main story. All I have to say is that the writing in this hack blows every mainline FE out of the water. I think this is the first hack where I literally read every single line. Really masterfully done, I teared up at the ending. Thank you for making this.
