Currently the plot I have worked out is that after Gharnef canonically takes over Khadein, but then Klaus usurps it and steals Imhullu. His ambitions crushed, Gharnef enters Gotoh’s role, realizing that Belinda’s army could be helpful in defeating his treacherous apprentice. He knows where the Spheres are and that they make Starlight. After Belinda’s troops defeat Klaus, he recovers Imhullu from Thabes and decides to help in the final battle against Rick.
