If I’m correct in my interpretation that you want to split your hack’s world map across multiple “pages” that are each the same size as FE8’s whole world map, then doing that sort of thing unfortunately has not been figured out yet, no.
For displaying only part of a map in general, sure. The world map graphic can be whatever image you want it to be provided it’s the right dimensions and bit depth.
I might ask @HyperGammaSpaces about this sort of thing. Their FE15 demake/reimagining hack, Sacred Echoes, involved considerable world map hacking to create, so they and their team are probably more familiar with FE8’s world map programming than most.
