Quick question about the map making process

I’ll keep it short and sweet, I’ve tried googling but to no avail, anywho

  1. If I’m making a FE7 hack, can I use a FE8/6 tileset?

2)Is there anything specific I have to do while I’m constructing the map to get shops, arena, village, etc to work? I’m assuming they are constructed to work in event assembling, correct?

  1. You’ll need to convert the tilesets to FE7’s format, tho I’m not sure how to do that.
  1. I believe all you need to do is import that specific tileset into FE7 - there should be a tutorial somewhere (either here, SF, or in something like the Ultimate Tutorial) that should explain it. (I just know that it’s possible to do as I’ve made maps using a tileset from one of the other GBA games and they were used perfectly fine, so…)

  2. I want to say that you’re right that those are event-related. Since tile changes and villages closing/being destroyed are, I would imagine that the rest are too.

1- yep. arch has an importing tileset tutorial that should be p easy to find

2- shops, arena and other things of that nature can be set up via eventing. example

Location Events:
Armory(Armory1,5,14)

Armory1:
SHLI IronSword IronBow //SHLI means shop list and just lists all of items you can sell
