When you’re just starting out designing games, there’s a tendency to pick up some bad habits. I’ve seen it a million times with people who come looking to make their vision into a hack. Oftentimes people will get defensive, and feel victimized if/when their ideas don’t go over well. We’ve all been through that “infant” stage, for those of us who’ve working at it longer that may be easy to forget.
This is the creed. Get used to failing, because it happens to the best of us. The issue I see most frequently isn’t in failure, it’s failing to learn from failure.
