Alright, full version is up. There will be bugs. Tons of them. The engine has been updated since the relatively stable (lol, lmao) release for FEE3, and I have not caught everything that could go wrong.

Do not restore a suspend from a previous version of this game if you update to the new version. Stay on the FEE3 build until you’re at a point where you can save and fully restart a chapter, and then do so after moving your save to the current build. Skills that have been updated will be automatically updated on older saves upon entering the Stats screen where you buy stats.

I leave for Asia midnight on the 15th, so any bugs reported after that will take me a while to fix since I’ll be enjoying my vacation lmao. If you want relatively quick fixes, I suggest either playing before or after my trip (I get back on New Years).

Congrats on the release! Seems like a really impressive hack to have gotten completed in such a short timeframe

No pressure to join or anything, not least because you leave for your holiday within 24 hours of then, but I thought I would say so you know

I trust and value HeroVP’s judgement and have watched him play a tiny bit of the last floors before the final release, so I’m really looking forward to giving it a shot myself! I’m not busy on the day I have the stream scheduled, so if I’m enjoying myself, I’ll go for as long as I can, and may be able to schedule a stream for the week after (though you’ll actively be away by then)

Hopefully it leads to some more interest in the hack, well done once again on release :>

Two EDIT thoughts: I’m not sure if the bugs will be cleaned up by then, so you do have the option of playing the FEE3 release for a more stable version (or switching to it if you encounter a hard crash), although the full release does have some bugs that are fixed which will not be for the FEE3 release.

Also I have to be honest and say I did not actually finish the project in such a short time frame. It was actually silently-ish in development since Feb 2022, and at the time of the initial April Fools demo, almost everything included in the FEE3 demo was already in the game in an alpha state. I just have a tendency not to make FEU posts until I have a lot done.

Howdy again,

First off, again, massive ups on the full release. The content so far has been thoroughly fun to play, and the dialogue is exactly as good as I expected. It’s really quite incredible. And like @AkiraSou said, the amount of work you’ve done on this in such a short time (10 months is pretty fucking short given how long projects like these can take) is thoroughly impressive.

Anyways, game crashed. I have no idea why, I just attacked an enemy with Hero and killed it with his Shield weapon, and the game immediately crashed after the battle ended. Once more, here’s a link to my save game. Since you said you’d be out, I don’t expect a very fast reply, but all the same, thanks bunches!

Esoteric find (by which I mean I never kill people Shield lmao), but it should be fixed now. I’ve DM’d you a restored suspend for your saves. Let me know if it works, and good catch!

Hi, was doing floor 45, healed a unit with comfort with Hero, and the game crashed. No idea why. I don’t need a suspend, was going to restart anyway. Thanks!

Question: are you on the latest patch/did you enter the stat screen to refresh skills? I just fixed a Hero healing-related issue recently, was curious if this was that

I was not on the latest patch but glad I could help anyway lol, was a change made to Hero’s skills recently?

I probably changed how his Holy Provocation functioned at some point and absolutely cocked it up. This latest change should hopefully quash any further crashes around the skill. (A reminder to you and also others to use the stat buy menu to update skills after patches, because I was too lazy to have an “update skills” option.)

Hey there, currently on Floor 7 and really enjoying this hack so far. The gameplay and characters are a really nice fresh take on the Fire Emblem formula.

I’m currently stuck on Floor 7 and wanted to ask for a hint on it, if possible.

Spoilers So with the direction that the NPC is taking through the map, it's up through the pillars and then right across the bridge. I can deal with the enemy formation in the pillars, annoying though it may be, but I'm stumped on the section afterwards, as you have the knights and shamans swarming you, as well as the uber-powerful Guardian on your heels.

I’ve played it a good few times, but there’s always too many of them and I get overwhelmed, especially since the NPC keeps forging on ahead to some dangerous squares. Just wondering if there’s something that I’m missing in all this, or if there’s another angle at which to tackle it. Thanks in advance.

Others who have played more recently can chime in, but when I was testing, my main strat was to

  1. Prevent the NPC from moving the full distance on its first turn by occupying the full move (and possibly other tiles) with blue units to buy a little extra leeway
  2. Using Shirk as well as dangling a blue unit within enemy range to guarantee that the NPC wouldn’t be killed.
    I think it’s possible for them to take one combat safely in some cases so you should plan around utilizing this tactically as well, especially since the NPC has a heavy blade and can therefore hit surprisingly hard on a counter.

Hey great hack i love all the cool map gimmicks and uniqe mecanics, i was just wonding how to beat the second boss, i can never seem to get past the first group of enemies with everyone alive

I did not even think about hindering the NPC’s full movement so that some space could be created, but after some respeccing, it worked. Thanks!

If you mean Floor 10, it’s possibly worth going to the left and just playing patiently. There’s some fairly accessible strats to just cheese the first anti-turtle reinforcement so don’t worry about slow-playing if you need to.

Bug report time.

This one’s just… weird. flat out. I’ve included some images to describe what’s up, alongside yet one more link to my save.

Floor 49 spoilers

So, there’s a lot weird. On the map, the 4 units are deployed at the bottom instead of at the top, by the actual deployment spots. Pictured below:



Also, when I go into the “pick units” menu, it pops up that those 4 specifically are force deployed, and then I can select 4 more units, which then actually populate the four deployment tiles up top.

I have 0 clue why this happened. Regardless, here’s my save. I won’t be finishing this one, just because this kind of glitchy behavior, combined with the mechanic of sticking a debuff on your party and keeping that between maps seems like it could have negative repercussions.

Here’s my files. No need to worry about a suspend, as I’m not gonna start it until the next patch is out.
