Ok, update is out now. Also to note that the engine building for the game has switched to making an exe to play the game instead of the double click to play.bat file. This seems to cause issues to Windows sometimes thinking that it is virus. I can 100% promise that there is no viruses in the program, I am not nearly smart enough to make a virus of my own. ^.^; This update also hasn’t been tested, so if there is any problems please let me know so I can fix them. Thank you :slight_smile:

Edit: Also, a lot of skills got changed so older versions will have issues with the update. So it is required to start from the beginning again to prevent any issues that come from that.

Chapter 3: Franz and Eirika start in the same tile, it’s nothing gamebreaking but still strange since everytime you click you choose one of the two.
I see you choose to keep the growth increasing items. Could you at least publish how much do they affect the growth and all that info?

Oh, that’s good to know. :thinking: There has been a couple of engine updates so one of them might have messed something up there.

Yeah, since there is a way to reset levels now it just made more sense to keep it that way for now. :thinking: I think I tell how much they affect in the item descriptions, but I can double check an be more descriptive. :thinking: Also, can always check growth rates in the unit’s stat screen. I believe it’s either the Z button or something close to that, I always forget when I’m away from my computer haha. :sweat_smile:

I totally forgot you can check growths in the menu, if the body ring gives you +5 everything +20 con then it works fine, I’m just used to devs posting the differences from vanilla that I forgot to do it myself.

BTW, Can you steal the spring axe? I can do so with the hand axe but I want to know if I can miss unique things for not stealing.

That is completely understandable haha :laughing: I know some people even decide to turn off the ability to see growths in the menu, so I don’t blame if anyone forgets to check that way. :sweat_smile:

As of right now, the spring axe can’t be stolen. For items that can have multiple uses or multiple attacks, I’ve made them unstealable just to prevent from other shenanigans from happening. I am gonna change things around and make it more clear which items are unstealable and all that. :thinking:

The tower doesn’t look like a grinding area any longer, the only thing that gave exp was the entombed. Do upper floors give better exp? If so, Can you allow us to enter upper floors as we conquer them?

Yeah, I noticed that on my playthrough as well. :thinking: I’ll get that fixed so can get better EXP gains from there.:thinking:

Do you mean like, jump to a certain floor of the tower if you cleared it before? That’s not a bad idea. :thinking:

Yeah exactly that, but no further than the last floor you conquered, assuming you get better exp gains at higher floors it can be a good idea to find the floor intended for your level and grind there, since the tower doesn’t give extra characters and doesn’t have story I think you can insert shortcuts without trivializing it.

Small update. :slight_smile: Still working on the personal weapons. I just started Gilliam’s weapons. :slight_smile: He doesn’t really use magic, so his focus will be on Greatlances and greatbows/siege weapons.

Also, there was an engine update which allowed to make the sword extra attack work how I wanted. :slight_smile: So swords will attack 3 times at normal damage if speed is high enough.

Here is also an example of the personal weapons. Using Eirika. :slight_smile: I’m having fun making these personal weapons, I hope they will be fine to use. :slight_smile:

Getting an error code when I click on the [FE8R Link]. How do i run it, exactly?

Huh, weird. The link seem to work for me. :thinking: It does always give me the “can’t preview” message, but can still download it. Is that what you saw? :thinking: It should just be a download, then a simple extract from the ZIP file. Then double clicking on the Executable. Though a Windows update have been giving all LT Engine games a hard time, just to warn you ahead of time. They think they are Trojan viruses, when they are absolutely not. :unamused:

It just gives me the error 404 page even with protection turned off. Sorry about that.

That’s super weird. :thinking: Is it maybe a browser error? It’s ok, I’m glad you pointed out to me so I can be aware if other people have issues. I have a Discord server that has a link as well, maybe that one will work?

i don’t get a 404 error when visiting the page, maybe just a you issue.

Just wanted to point this out: my pointer is on the location for the next chapter but I’m not able to click it to continue.

Also played through C4 without going the Lute’s village; in the normal game you get Lute afterwards if you do this(artur talks to her post chapter) but in this it didn’t happen.

Game is fun but noticed some of these inconsistencies.
