Is there any way to make a villager a unit who can't fight be able to use weapons

While I was playing Sacred Stones I suddenly got this idea of making use of villagers to be able to use weapons. So I would like to ask you guys if there was any way for villagers to be able to use swords or spears or axes or a type of weapon only they can use

to do so, make sure to at least give them a weapon rank so they can use said weapon. you can give the villagers battle animations but that is optional and isn’t necessary. once you give them the weapon rank, you can add weapons in their inventory using the unit placer in the main screen. someone else may have a better idea but this is what i did.

Prf weapons don’t have to require any weapon rank to use so you can just do that.

in the class editor screen, you have to head to the edit class screen and find the weapon rank you wanna give them. for swords, lances or axes be sure to add a 1 to them. it’s the minimum for them to be able to at least the iron weapons.
