Yeah, I think most of you could have seen this coming.
There’s been a recent influx of threads that serve no real purpose other than to be a place to meme around. While this has historically been part of the Community category, these threads have started to drown out more genuine conversations and make it harder to find the posts that are actually about community topics.
To address this, we’ve created Community > Offtopic.
What should go into Offtopic?
- For anyone who uses Serenes, think of this category as
Far From the Forest. - If the purpose of the thread is just a joke (and contains no other relevant artifact - for example, a joke project should still go in Projects), put it here.
- If your thread devolves into nothing but shitposting, it may be moved here. While I don’t mind a little bit of side conversation, there’s a difference between a lighthearted side-comment in an otherwise substantive thread and a thread whose only content is low-effort spam.
