Hello FEUniverse users,
I have been playing Fire Emblem games for around 7 years now, and I have recently decided to try my hand at romhacking, even if I may have no prior relevant experience.
So first, a brief summary of my experience with the Fire Emblem series:
The first game I played throughly was FE7, since it is literally called “Fire Emblem“ I figured it was a good starting point. However it’s not the first one I played, since I was already aware of the series many years prior with the debut of Awakening, I just wasn’t able to purchase it (or acquire it in some other way) at the time, so my first taste of the series was expending 1 out of 30 uses of the demo on a friends console.
After playing and greatly enjoying FE7 on multiple playthroughs, I moved out to FE6, since I was made aware of it’s relation to the former. At first I expected to enjoy it less but it ended up being my favourite game in the series. After that I went on to play, or at least try out, all of the main games in the series. I don’t quite remember the order as cleanly, but I think it was GBA→Snes→3DS→Wii→DS→Engage with 3Houses somewhere in there between the Snes and 3DS ones.
Regarding what I expect to do around here, apart from lurking of course, I’m beginning to work on a romhack of my own, I plan for it to be a short, gameplay focused experience in which I try to emphasize some underutilized base features (terrain). I hope it turns out good.
