Wanted to ask who did you pair up with Diamant for Teruya? (I wanna calculate the growths)

Naomi

Here’s their personal growths:

Teruya (before inheritance):

HP: 50%, STR: 35%, MAG: 40%, SKL: 50%, SPD: 45%, LCK: 20%, DEF: 40%, RES: 20%

Level 10 Dark Mage stats (before inheritance and level scaling) HP: 23 STR: 5 MAG: 13 SKL: 10 SPD: 10 LCK: 4 DEF: 8 RES: 8

Naomi:

HP 45% STR 40% MAG 35%, SKL 50%, SPD 40%, LCK 40%, DEF 25%, RES 25%

Hp: 47%, str: 37%, mag: 37%,skl: 50%, spd: 42%,lck: 30%, def: 32%, res: 22% before class growths.

Le oof growths probably good for Diamant but bad for Teruya.

Wdym good for Diamant but bad for Teruya?

@finzbo I found a Gamebanana tutorial for custom headsprite insertion, I might start cooking up some stuff in Piskel and pre-formatting it for you so all you would have to do is place it in the folder!

Naomi is a fighter. Berserker backpack with S rank support bonuses and she replaces effie so her support pair up bonuses is defenses.

Oh you mean the pairing? Fighter/Berserker is generically a good pair-up for just about any physical unit, and it definitely helps with Diamant’s lacking offense.

I don’t think it’s that bad for Teruya, since she can always just promote into Dark Knight and gain respectable physical stats. Between HP+5 and Diamant’s HP inheritance, she can take a few hits and use Strong Riposte on the counter.

Also, Effie’s personal pair-up gives STR/SPD/LCK, not defenses.

Meh fair enough let me just check rq

Hp: 47%, str: 37%, mag: 37%,skl: 50%, spd: 42%,lck: 30%, def: 32%, res: 22%

Becomes with Dark Knight growths

Hp 52%, str 57%, mag: 47%, skl: 55%, spd: 47%, lck: 35%, 47%, res: 27%. Still around the 50s range besides in res and lck.

If you plan to use Alvida in any capacity (just checked the code, looks like both Alvida and Kento exist  ), pairing her with Condor produces the best Justain.

Yes, this is my humble pitch and request to use my self-insert OC.

Unfortunately, I recruited the version of Condor at promoted level 10, so it’s kinda hard to use him for combat in my current run. I’ll give him a shot the next playthrough!

Yeah, Dark Knight gives her a relatively balanced spread, while RES and LCK are meant to be Teruya’s weak stats. One thing I wanted her to have is a starting sword rank, which would make Levin Sword easier to reach.

Fair enough I can see the unit but somewhat feel like she CAN get outclassed in her role but it’s hard to make a good dark knight.

Given her stat spread, lack of extra skills, and normal bases she’s probably not going to be the best at any one thing, but has the flexibility to fill different roles depending on inheritance. Part of the reason for that flexibility is because I didn’t know what the parenting situation would be like for the roster when making my first submissions.

Ya but it’s genuinely a good dark knight just gotta get lucky with the close 50%s

@finzbo Finally catching up on stream, here’s my commentary:

  1. Condor never actually slows down levelling – he has the same level path as Azura, so he’s treated as being in a Level 1 → Level 40 class that doesn’t promote. It’s pretty unique.

  2. Wait to reclass Condor until he learns Sol, but if you put him in Dread Fighter, he gets early aggressor and his Level cap becomes 60 instead of just 40.

  3. Oh wack, I thought Aurelie joined on-map in Shadow’s paralogue. Either way, good to see her on the team again :flexed_biceps::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:.

  4. Lodestar is absolutely as broken as Vanguard. Justynn just had a really low personal strength base, Lodestar actually has the hidden mechanic of +10 Hit/Avo & +5 Crit.

  5. GARRAN HOT DAMN

  6. I did not intend for Condor to have Dragon Vein access, but in the spirit of honoring the fallen soldier Justynn, let him use Dragon Veins. Peak unit!

  7. You don’t need money, just farm tonics with Aurelie. They’re 50g each to sell!

  8. Unironically, I’m super hyped to see units like Bald Peri, Kento, and Nagito – all those units died after the fated death paralogue, so I want to see them actually in action. Also hopefully we get a few of the child units.

  9. Togashi Yuta’s glowup is insane, but he needed it.

  10. I do not recommend making Aurelie a prepromote, Future Sight + Paragon makes her a super easy training project to hit Level 20.

  11. RIP Condor, it was nice :sob:. Never mind, reset.

  12. Fun fact, Aurelie’s huge level up on attempt 1 of Chapter 9 is because Future Sight stacks with Paragon and she triggered it, doubling her EXP, and then doubling it again.

  13. Condor is like Radiant Dawn Sothe. He doesn’t necessarily fall off, but he’ll get outclassed by endgame. Still a unit worth investing in if you like his feel.

  14. Condor makes for a decent Master Ninja, but you would need Quixotic / Rend Heaven from Spear Fighter line to make him super viable in that form. Much easier to keep him in hero for now.

  15. HELGEN JUMPSCARE MY GOAT

The way I understand it, pseudo-promotes have the same default level cap of 40 in all classes, since they never promote. The amount of EXP a unit gains depends on their internal level relative to their opponent/target.

Selling tonics for gold doesn’t seem worth to me, you’d need to sell 10 of them to buy a single bronze weapon when you could just use them for 3x the value of their buying price.

Yeah, I was joking about the tonic thing. Text doesn’t convey that too well :sob:

I think early promotion could be neat on Aurelie depending on your plans- she can get valuable promoted skills quick like Rally MAG, Tomefaire, and Quixotic. Paragon essentially translates to a level lead, since it takes less effort to cushion into the soft EXP penalties.
