Rennac has a existential crisis.
Late game spoiler:
Is Boudica supposed to desert the crew if The Demon King prevails against Lyon? The message denoting her departure curiously came up after our crew attacked the first tin can in their way in Chapter 29.
Just got to chapter 11, a great hack with a properly written story,.
should be corrected to:
“As if a court troubadour doesn’t have better things to do than play babysitter!”
Imo the way Rubenio words it in here is not said commonly, but I can picture it said in a medieval setting. I like that little touch.
I don’t think he was trying to mimic medieval speech here.
It’s been a while since I played this, but helping Rubenio as one of the proofreaders, I can safely say that there were a number of instances like this that were deliberate for style. I can’t say for sure that that’s the case here, but that’s what it feels like to me.
I personally prefer this over the more modern/common phrasing.
Give my compliment to whoever made Tiffani’s portrait. She looks so cute. Oh and was it intentional that she has long purple hair going down her back along with her twin pony tails?
@SaintRubenio I think you need to update this in the spoiler file. I use bone to talk to Deni and got 1 strength stat increase

How do I promote the monsters? The in-game guide says that they automatically promote at level 10, but my Penelope and Erkki are both stuck at level 10 with nothing happening.
did you start the next chapter? They should auto promote in the same way as regular FE8 trainee units at the beginning of preps
I’m in the route split chapters, so I haven’t yet. I also used a Master Seal to promote Tiffani from Pupil so that added to my confusion. I’ll wait for the next Carcino chapter then. Thanks c:
Did you change the proc formula for skills? My lv1 sniper hayden is proccing pierce almost every other attack
as i keep playing this hack, i realize most bosses are ridiculously strong in some chapters, even in easy mode. and is it just me or enemies with 50-70 HIT can land their attacks almost all of the time. characters with 30 SPD can’t act as a dodge tank to mobs, not to mention bosses.
The most difficult part for me is the reinforcements. I’m not sure if these are hard mode only, but they’re overwhelming in some chapters
actual tanking with defensive stats is a much better strategy. You can use duessel as a meatshield until he leaves, and the spider is really tanky. Tiffani is probably gonna be your best bet for res tanking
Yeah I’m having to tank and retreat in a lot of chapters. It’s tough though because the reinforcements sometimes spawn in very difficult positions (and on hard mode, they can two shot my units). The route split was an added difficulty because I did not train my units on the two sides equally. Fun challenge though with some save state usage
I was replying to another thing but lmao yeah. I highly recommend picking up djien the spider as ur first monster, but it seems a bit late for that. You definitely have to treat it with a less enemy phase oriented attitude because half the army is made of paper, and the enemies actually have stats now. (My ephraim side is STRUGGLING because I basically only trained orson novala and bazba lol)
Would HIGHLY recommend using Saar and putting him into General rather than Great Knight. He has some of the best Defense in the game, and can easily tank entire squads better than Tirado and Breguet. He was one of my premier units for plugging up chokepoints, and I felt confident throwing him into enemy squads. Many times, I found that sometimes enemies that would have required complex team play could alternatively be solved just by chucking Saar at them. To say nothing of a certain event that happens that REQUIRES Saar and fixes one of his biggest issues (as well as 2 other units.)
TL;DR Don’t sleep on Saar
True, Saar is an absolute bastion. I slept on him my first run because I didn’t really have room for him with all the units I wanted to use but after playing around later I realized what a beast he is.
