does this mean we’re getting boat party members
it would be cool to get a playable boat unit only usable on maps with water though
or a regular unit that magically grows a boat when entering water, though i dunno if that’s possible in the engine

yeah. They’re their own class. With high bases and everything.
Their weakness is that they are weak to fire magic/ fire based weaponry.
