Fire Emblem 8: The Fallen Princess CH: 23+ Ending Complete+ DLC 12 Chapters

Hi everyone this is my new reskin I’m working on.
I had told people that I had to leave the FE Community for the cooking academy but due to COVID they have postponed the opening, so I have decided that in the meantime I will start working on this small project.
This project was originally supposed to be a sequel of The Royal Army, but then I decided to create a new story.
This is a FE 8 reskin.
I used google translate to create the dialogs, so if you find any errors please let me know.
The supports have not been created yet, so talking to a character will only trigger the support bonus but not the dialogue.
The story and the gameplay is 100% complete and tested
The story continuum that is currently being created has been added.
The DLC currently has 9 chapters fully tested in both normal and hard mode.
Each character plays an important role in the story, so their death will lead to a Game Over.
Some qualities of life have been implemented, play to find out.

Story:
First Part: The story is very simple and follows the events of the fall of Renais.
With the destruction of the kingdom, the last bastion of resistance against the empire has fallen and now the emperor rules over the whole world.
Hoping to make his two sons escape, King Fado sacrifices himself, but all this is useless because the two are catch by the enemies during their escape and Eirika is kidnapped.
Eirika’s choice allows Ephraim and some soldiers of the kingdom to be able to escape.
The main story begins a month after these events.
Prince Ephraim will have to fight to find the strength needed to save his sister from the emperor and rebuild his kingdom.

**DLC: **
Interlude:
After managing to defeat the final enemy, Ephraim and his companions are preparing to return to their normal life, but during their return to Renais something terrible happens to our heroes.
Ephraim awakens in a mysterious place called the Tower of Valni.
In that place he will have to fight to pass the tests of the tower and find his friends again.
But why is he in that place?
And what happened to him and his friends on their return trip?

Graphic Changes: To fit the story, 24+12(DLC) new maps were created, completely new and tested.

Balance: The mod completely changes the balance of the game, so forget about the old balance of FE 8.
The triangle of weapons has been expanded and changed:
The base bonus for physical weapons will be: ±2 DEF ±10% Hit-Avo.
The magic bonus will be: ± 15% Hit-Avo
The distance bonus will be: ±10% Hit-Avo.
These are the Weapon Tringle expansions:
Anima strong Swords, Swords strong Dark, Dark strong Axes, Axes strong Light, Light strong Spears.
The bows will be weak against all types of magic, Dirks strong Spears, Axes strong Dirks, Dirks strong Anima, Dark strong Dirks

DLC:
In the tower, most of the enemy weapons will allow you to double the weapon bonus to your advantage or disadvantage.

Weapons:
Swords: Very fast and accurate.
Iron Sword: HIT 90 POW 5 WGT 4 CRT 0
Lance: Very balanced between attack and defense.
Iron Lance: HIT 85 POW 7 WGT 7 CRT 0
Axes: Very strong but with poor accuracy.
Iron Axe: HIT 80 POW 9 WGT 10 CRT 0
Bows: Excellent accuracy and good damage but are very heavy.
Iron Bow: HIT 100 POW 8 WGT 8 CRT 0
Anima: Very useful in any situation.
Fire: HIT 80 POW 6 WGT 3 CRT 0
Dark: Very powerful but with poor accuracy
Flux: HIT 80 POW 10 WGT 5 CRT 0
Light: They strike from far away and have a good critical chance.
Lightning: HIT 80 POW 4 WGT 2 CRT 15
Ballista and Long Tomes: They will have 8 uses.
The ballista will have an attack range of 15 but will be less powerful.
Long tomes can be used by your characters.
DLC:
Invert Weapons: Reverse and double the weapon bonus.
Ghoul Weapons: Only available in the secret tower shop. They will have no additional costs.
Hero Weapons: Usable by characters from another world.
They will have different effects in battle, use them as best you can.

Terrain Bonus: Each terrain will now give you different bonuses and Gate and Thrones will give better bonuses to bosses to make them real enemies.

DLC: There will be few maps that allow you to have a terrain bonus, use the doubled weapon triangle bonus to win battles.

Classes: Statistics have been better balanced and are now much more differentiated.
Some classes will carry different weapons and some new classes have been added.
Each class will have a specific skill.
Promoted classes will have two skills.

Characters: The characters have been recolored and their behavior has been modified to fit the story, also some will have different classes and stats, same thing for the bosses and the enemies.
Each character will start with his innate ability, plus another class ability and later with the promotion he will be able to get a third ability, same thing for the enemies.

Normal mode and Hard mode
The difficulty level is designed for those who have previously played Fire Emblem.

If you choose Normal Mode, you will have a more balanced gameplay.
Enemies will have lower stats than your allies and will be easier to defeat.

If you choose Hard Mode, you will have a much more complicated gameplay.
The enemies will be more ruthless, each opponent will have to be faced with the right weapon and with the right character and without having an adequate strategy, death will await you.

Sorry to heard about your culinary academy being delayed due to certain events. At least you got something to do to pass the time on by working a ROM hack. Wondering what is your alternate take of FE8 based on your vision? Wish you luck with the ROM hack to make some new experiences for yourself.

Thanks, I’m not the type to get depressed about these things, I like to spend my time doing something productive.
This will be just a small project of up to 20 chapters, if I have more to tell I will lengthen the story.
Unlike my other two mods, my goal in this project is to create something pleasant and simple.
In all my stories I like to create as a hobby and this project will be no different from the others.
The story will be created as I progress through the chapters, this is one of the various reasons why I have not yet touched the supports, because I will create the past of the various characters as I advance in the story and follow their behaviors.

Story update.
Franz’s class advancement has been corrected.
His soldier class will now stop at level 10 correctly and auto-promote to:
Cavalier: Uses Swords and Spears, with balanced parameters and excellent mobility on the battlefield.

I think I’ll slow down the mod creation to focus on something else.
So the next update may be late, obviously if I want I could continue at this pace, but slowly as I go on with the project I feel a strange tiredness, maybe it’s better to slow it down, in the end the total of the chapters is 22 with 16 already complete.

Ah I forgot to mention.
The mod has been balanced so that enemies adapt to allied abilities, so:
Choose normal mode: If you know at least the basics of a Fire Emblem (Triangle of weapons, strategy, terrain bonus), this way you will have a standard difficulty (slightly difficult if you don’t use an effective strategy).

Choose Hard Mode: If you are a veteran of Fire Emblem and you like high difficulties, you will have to use a good strategy and use the weapons against certain types of enemies, such as against the wolves who will serve the bows against them since they have a high evasion.

I recommend doing as I told you, or you will have a really nasty game.
Some enemies for resist to the abilities of your characters, will be immune to defense-breaking abilities such as Luna or critical hits, or suffered of an augment of their parameters after having a certain number of hits or after certain turns.

In Normal mode the parameters of the enemies are lower than those of your allies (especially the Speed), but in Hard mode the parameters of the enemies will be higher than those of the allies and monsters such as wolves will deal several multiple hits or the heavy armor enemy units will have high physical parameters to get you to use suitable spells against them (as spells are now affected by the new weapon triangle.

I will add this explanation in the readme of the mod, in the next update.

A Manakete who doesn’t need to waste dragonstone uses to get exp is a great idea! This hack is growing more interesting by each new update.

This chapter is different from the others because it has a different narrative, due to different events, although it has already been tested there may be errors due to the different emulation, in case you find any please let me know.

Removed the original supports, now activating the support will only give you the bonus, for the moment there will be no dialogue between the characters.

I enjoyed creating this project, but as I get to the final chapters of the story, I feel it is getting a little too serious, and therefore the desire to continue it has diminished slightly.
In the end, I just wanted to create something simple and fun without, great war, evil dragons or dark lords wanting to take over the world.

So in short, yes I will continue the story, but the final chapters will take a little longer to been complete.

Story Update:
Changed the power and critical probability of the Excalibur tome.
Changed the final scene against Syrene and fixed the use of the Lullaby tome, it can now be used after that event as well.
Fixed the error with the supports of the various characters.
Fixed some minor errors in the dialogues.
Fixed story events in chapter 4 `` Attack from Above ‘’, due to the map change, that event was slightly wrong.
Changed Syrene’s weapon, that weapon will now give + 10 Lck, plus her dodge and magic defense parameters have been balanced.

Due to the school, the creation of the story has been slowed down a lot, to make sure to bring weekly updates, I have decided to update the mod every chapter and not every two chapters.
Only two chapters remain to be created for the story to be complete.

From chapter 18 onwards the difficulty level rises significantly, so be careful with the choice of difficulty at the beginning of the game.

It takes a long time to create a chapter with a good game atmosphere and good gameplay.
Before creating a chapter, I always listen to a bit of music for about an hour to create a bit of atmosphere and be ready to continue with the creation of the story, but unfortunately now I have too little time and I can no longer do it. chapters are created on different days (Monday the map, Thursday start event and positioning enemies and allies, Saturday end event etc …), so if there are any inconsistencies with the story or problems with chapters that can be easily broken from the chapter 18 onwards I apologize, I will try to have these final chapters tested by someone other than myself to correct these future errors if there are any.

Thanks, I didn’t notice this little mistake.
Apparently I was wrong to give the ranks of weapons to his class, the error has been corrected on my file.
The ups file will be updated in the next update.

For those interested the chapter 20 ‘‘Son of Empire’’ has been completed.(or 21 if you also calculate the prologue).
Due to how the story is evolving, an extra chapter has been added, for the moment I’m creating it, so the total chapters will be 23 and not 22.

Story Update:
End event has been added for chapter 19.
Chapter 20 ‘’ Son of Empire ‘’ has been added
Extra chapter 21 ‘’ Son of Hatred ‘’ has been added.
Forde’s weapons rank has been fixed, he will no longer be able to use tomes (you will need to start a new game to correct this).
5 new weapons have been added.
Extenrior, Solem, Uncolored Stone, Gleipnir (heavily modified) and the Fire Emblem.
The final weapon of the game has been added.

As for chapter 21 extra, in the title of the chapter will appear the name ‘‘final’’, but it will not be the real ending, the end of chapter 21 and the real ending will be added in the next update.
You will understand the reason for this choice, playing and reaching that chapter.

As for the playability.
You will be able to continue playing by installing the new patch and continue where you left off without problems, this was also possible with the other versions (someone asked me if it was possible to do this).

I am happy to announce that the next update will be the final update that will conclude the story.
But it won’t be the last update I will do for the mod.
To avoid any issues with the story, with the narrative as chapters 18 and 21 extra and maybe even the ending, as they are different from normal chapters, and balance issues, I will retest the mod completely all over again in both normal and hard, I will also add a discord server for those who want to help me with the tests.

As for the supports.
I hate writing the supports and I have made sure that each character undergoes development throughout the story.
But I still know how important the supports are to a Fire Emblem, so while it will be boring for me to make them, I will create them(very slowly), so don’t expect that when the mod is complete and tested there will also be the addition of the supports.
