[FE8] The Sacred Chairs, aka Mangs's FE8 Patreon PME - Completed (Updates:Bosses, 0% Growths)

Wait which one
Dont know wot it is
(Only saw fe6 pme)

The FE7 Patreon PME. Unlike this one, that one is mostly a re-skin, exceptions I can recall are making it so all characters can be recruited in one run (Karel/Harken, Geitz/Wallace, Karla and Farina) and something for the final chapter.

You can go to Ft. Mangs to download it or watch his playlist. There have been some text changes that would get it removed here.

Does it have a goos story?
I suppose jordan replaced eliwood and nono replaced nino

It’s mostly a re-skin, there were few significant text edits so it’s pretty much FE7 in regards to story. A few villages have original text, units like Mangs and Mekkah have more dialogue changed to fit them, and the people who got their characters in the hack also sent the dialogue for them, that’s about it, I think.

No-No (in the FE7 PME she was called Nowi) replaced Louise. Some other people from The Sacred Chairs were in it too.

Do u know where to download the fe7 pme one?
And did anyone managed to beat marky on ch15?

Defeating the FE Youtubers in the stupid desert chapter without casualties is very hard to do, but still possible. Unlike in the vanilla games, archers here can be good as the standard 3 range in bows can let you hit them without them immediately murder killing you in retaliation.

As answered in DMs, you can find the link to the FE7 pme and other hacks in Ft. Mangs’s discord channel’s download station.

Usually archers are the safest choice, but you can stall with phantoms or even use a certain unhittable NPC in that map to take him down.

Updated the hack, changelog:
-Fixed 3 bosses’s stats getting much higher on normal mode
-Updated Mekkah, Imperial, Tambo and Radd’s portraits

Im playing nono route and im at the end of chapter 15. It plays the scene for the original fe8 and gives me the falchion and mjnior again instead of giving me the axe and dark tome help please

This was one of the first fixes we’ve made. It was from back when we had disabled the route split, so the game would progress as if you were still on the prologue mode.

Make sure you’re playing both with the current version and not using a save from one of the oldest versions.

Is there any way i can apply the new patch without having to restart the pme from the beginning

Just to make it clear, this is an assumption. It’s been over a year since this hack was finished, and probably over two years since that specific fix was made. The reports we had of this issue were all because of having an older save, so I’m assuming it’s exactly the same in your case, and I can’t know if it’s something else unless you send me the save file. That said…

The problem is with the save file. The first thing you should do is download the final version of the hack, regardless. If you don’t, more things that were fixed may not have been fixed in the version you have. Your old save file can still be used with the new patch.

There are two things you can do to fix the problem, that do not require playing from chapter 8 onwards again.

1-Open your .sav file in a text/hex editor, and edit the mode number (should be 1 if on prologue, which is what you don’t want) to 2. I don’t know where the mode is saved on a save file, so you’d have to look for that yourself.

2-Open the hack in FEBuilder, then press F5 to open it with the debugger attached.

Go into the Cheat tab, I highlighted where the mode number is. It should be 1, you want to change it to 2 which is for No-No mode (if you want Regi mode change it to 3). Make sure to use the same chapter number and map nodes of the chapter you’re currently at. To make sure of what those are, check the Etc. tab (top right in the image). Then save the game, and you will correctly stay in No-No mode.

Not to sound dumb or ignorant i already have the new patch(the one 1 found on this page) downloaded i just dont kno how to apply the patch

also where can i find said text editor

Any text editor such as Notepad would work if you know where to look. Hex editors such as HxD might make it easier to locate things though. Just to make it clear, I recommend the FEBuilder method since you don’t need to look for the address yourself, and on top of that you can use it to make your own hacks or edits if you want.

You need to find a clean ROM of FE8, then use a program that applies patches to ROMs. Again I recommend FEBuilder for this, not only it doesn’t have some issues other patchers might have such as NUPS, as well as the fact that it is the program you’d want to have anyway to make hacks/edits. You can just drag the patch to FEBuilder and it will do the rest.

Thank you for the report. It surprised me to get a post in the thread of a 3-year old hack, and 1 year since the last post.

Since it’s been a long time, maybe the problem is something that I overlooked back then and is simple to fix now. I’ll look into the problem with mGBA when I can, but the hack was tested with VBA-M so it’s what is recommended to use, regardless of whether or not I can solve this one.

Does anyone know how to steal the broken ring from MarkyJoe?

I uh, well depends on which chapter, desert you can’t, endgame match his speed.

Fang has enough speed at base to steal it in the desert chapter. If you’ve been training Vic and didn’t promote him to Assassin, there’s a good chance he can also steal it.

If you don’t steal it there, you can still steal it in the final chapter if you use warp/dance to get it on turn 1. He’ll have more speed than he had in the desert chapter though, so base Fang can’t steal it anymore.
