There have also been some graphic updates, new portraits to replace generics used in previous chapters. The Credits list has been expanded with the new additions from the Repository.

Chapter 6
With the previous chapter being on Merceus’ doorstep, this one is a map of ancient Fort Merceus. Perhaps a few elements of the layout will be familiar, even.

There’s not been much discussion, but I’m seeing clicks on the download link growing steadily, so I hope those giving the current demo a try are having a good time! This is such an intriguing project Augenis, I’m sucker for projects that expand in the lore of the canon, so I’m very happy to see it is progressing, I should give it a try myself, but I’m unable currently.
Thank you! I’m glad to hear it. I started on it when I realized that there seems to be rather few projects focused on Fodlan, while at the same time simply liking the idea of writing a prequel (always been fascinated by those in my fanfiction days).

Yeah, the Cutscene from Sacred Stones’ Chapter 6 started playing instead of what I assume should be the sixth Chapter, I finished the map normally instead of using the debug insta-win conversation (and did checked what happpened after insta-winning), I did want to experience the map xD
Ah, I see. That is odd, I haven’t encountered this before. It’s possible that it was caused by the Indech chapter being built on 5x and 5x’s old code causing some issues (I’ve patched it out now on my working build). I’m going to try hunting for this bug.

It will indeed! A handful have already been written and added to the hack (like Rhea/Cethleann and Wilhelm/Johanna), but I haven’t mentioned this in any updates yet because the supports are still in their preliminary stages and I write them at the side when an idea for one pops to my head.
So, good news, after a playtest of the release build (and failing to beat my own Chapter 5 twice ) I found the issue, and it was indeed a bug. For some reason, Chapter 5’s “seize” event called the Chapter 6 ending cutscene, not the Chapter 5 one, so it “skipped” all of Chapter 6 - which must have been rather confusing. I’ve (hopefully) fixed it now, and updated the download with the fix.
Either fortunately or unfortunately, this also means that the new build also has several other graphic and text fixes and updates I’ve done since last release - including new and reworked portraits.

Well, then I am stunned. Are you certain you downloaded the most recent version? I’m going to try to look around, but I can’t seem to find anything that would cause this, now that I’ve patched out the triggers issue completing Chapter 5 with debug conversations triggers the transition to Chapter 6 normally for me. I’ll also ask my friend playing on Ch 5 right now to see if he has the same issue.
