Fire Emblem: Knights of Leonster follows General Xavier and his adjutants as they struggle to protect Leonster while working under the imperial crown. He’ll have to balance his loyalties as the city falls into chaos and the dream of liberation draws closer.

The starting cast consists of Xavier’s soldiers from Chapter 18 of FE5, now with unique portraits and personalities!

Features:

  • 10 main chapters and a prologue at this time. Roughly 30 chapters planned.
  • A serious story set during the occupation of Leonster prior to Leif’s arrival in FE5.
  • Xavier’s adjutants from Chapter 18 of FE5, with colors and names coming from the Lil’ Manster translation patch.

TLDR: Nothing out of line of typical Fire Emblem writing, except with some stronger language

Known Issues

The dismounting mechanics are kinda wonky and not accurate to FE5. I intend to fix this closer to game completion as a more accurate method would make it difficult to add classes.

If you save and reload the Ch3 opening event, you can get several door keys.

Secrets
Ch. 2

Sean/Stella Event - In order to deal with Stella, you have several options. You can capture her, then either hold her or release her. You can also talk to her twice with Sean. If you do that, Sean will defect and leave the party. He’ll show up again in Ch. 3 and 4 in a unique capacity.

Release Njörun in Ch. 2 to learn about Ch. 3’s secret.

Ch. 3

Silver Axe - Underneath the broken wall near the top of Ch. 3,
there is a hidden silver axe for those that walk under it.

Ch 4

If Sean is a fighter, have him talk to Leif for a small reward.

Ch 5

Have Charles visit the middle village on the left, and then have him visit the tent for a reward.
Have Misha talk to Sclera in order to recruit Sclera.

Ch 7

The tile Mage!Anna is standing on is a secret shop.
If the players does at least 3 of the following:

  • Destroy the walls in Ch.1
  • Destroy the ballistae in Ch. 3
  • Have at least 1 child escape in Ch. 3
  • Save at least 8 ally units in Ch. 5
  • Secure at least 7 crates in Ch 6
  • Have at least 1 ally unit survive in Ch. 7
  • Capture and hold Brooks in Ch. 7

Xavier will promote in to paladin.

Ch 9

Both “Annas” have a unique dialogue in the northeast shop. The top fort contains a secret shop.

Ch 10

The odd looking house at the bottom of the map contains a secret shop.

I playtested the romhack demo. It’s peak, and you should try it as well.

I like Jugdral. So I downloaded the hack.
I played the prologue and chapter 1 before getting a unit killed right at the end.
The most important thing for me to note is that opening the furthest away chest in chapter 1 causes a broken tile change to appear and crashes the game. The game saves after the crash and no progress is lost, but this is a major bug.
Overall chapter 1 certainly felt like FE5: I got punished, but if I gave the chapter another go I can see where I could make some improvements. Good luck: the more hacks set in Jugdral, the merrier.

Chapter 1’s chest bug has been fixed, the link has been updated. I fixed a tile change issue right before release, and inadvertently caused another. I made sure nothing broke this time around.

I’d play past deaths tbh, you get substitute units that I think are worth seeing.

New hotfix, should be the last one for this stage of the project unless something else pops up.
Link in the main post has been replaced.
Changes:
Fixed a bug that prevented the player from getting the “good ending” to chapter 1.
Updates to the sprites of Xavier, Andrew, and Edward.
Various grammatical fixes.

Just rapped up the demo, and had an excellent time. Knights are my favorite class, so having control of eight of them in the prologue was fantastic. I especially enjoy how you diversified them despite their same class.

Ch1 Myrm will be fixed.
NPC theme is a placeholder.
In my testing, hammers are effective against bow armors, Charles has a skill that makes him immune to effective hits, are you sure it isn’t just that?
Alva actually replaced Fred late in development and I forgot to change the set to hide command to Alva. Will be fixed in next update.

I have six new chapters currently in various states of completion. I expect to have demo 2 ready by the time a trailer airs in FEE3 (roughly October) at the latest. Hopefully it doesn’t take that long though. :sweat_smile: Most of what I have left to do is writing and polish.

Man this demo was incredible. The story and the characters were very good and even the gameplay was very fun with the different types of armor knight.
I had a blast playing chapter 4 and was super Hyped when you-know-who arrived.
It sure needs some polish but this hack sure looks like it could be a very great game.
