Unless you meant Ch 5, Ch 6 with Botan is really easy. Ch 10 is tough, but if you’re struggling you don’t need to deploy on both sides, and there are no thieves to rush you for the loot.

Edit: in retrospect this comment feels like cross talk directed at @Skymariano comment but that was not at all my intent. Ch5 and ch10 are both quite challenging, I just love the level design with tons of chests and tons of enemies.
Ill be honest, the only thing i liked was that you get Blossom a skill that will make a bad unit a good unit and a good unit a god
In the case of Chapter 10 the problem is if you didnt train the other units (all the units are gonna be deployed) and the spam of Halbendiers and archers can overwhealm the units and the only units that can handle well the defenses of the Halbendiers is Risu and Baelz is not a good unit even if her crit is really high and Laplus gets inmediately killed by all the enemies because she starts with really bad stats (even if she has the potencial of becoming a god unit if she doesnt get killed by the archers with longbows)
But after all is just my opinion
Chapter 9 is my favorite by far
I agree, chhapter 10 migt be one of the worst designed maps I’ve ever played, massive sized map for only the 10th chapter, insane amount of crazy strong halberdier reinforcements, a split army where its better to probably just not deploy one side since theres almost no way to train every unit by that point to be competent, the only new unit you get is barely functional because its a trainee in a chapter where you need damage and survivability right now, and a locked room you cant see into in the center of the map with enemies just lazily strewn about with seemingly no thought process or strat to deal with besides choke point at the door and hope you survive, it’s not like the maps get that much better onwards but that is definitely the game at its worst
There is a reason why fire emblem and Fe fangames dont let the player use all the units in a map and its because there are units that are not worth to train and will only be used as meatshields.
Again, its just my opinion
Deploy all units in chapter 10 is definitely something I didn’t enjoy, I get that chapters need to be hard, but it’s impossible to level up all units to an usable point, then we have Lapluz… Rest in peace since in my ironman she got yeeted by a long bow, Amelia got wrecked because I made the mistake of relying too much on her lance break skill that I didn’t notice that she was at kill point, anyways this is the forth attempt (don’t ask for the last three attempts pls
)
Other than that I am enjoying the hack room, it’s addictive, my only question is if it’s possible to restore Reine’s magic since it’s mentioned she lost it due to an experiment
Chapter 10 wise, there is the option to block the staircase that spawns the reinforcement halberdier(which was what I did for the left side), since they don’t appear again if you block it even once. Halberdier is one thing but I think what truly makes this chapter a drag is just it being too big map size wise. A hassle to navigate.
chapter 10 is actually not that bad but definitely requires some preparation (and can likely be a run killer if blind)
fwiw i have already beaten it on my 0 growths run (currently on chapter 17x)

though with some caveats: i already had noel/flare A (which had Flare promoting from sniper to general + hand cannon) and also bae/suisei A (for bae’s reclass to dancer). the other thing you want is to avoid levelling up azki in chapter 8/9, having her as dancer in 10 is much more valuable than in 9.
on 0 growths about most of my army were complete dogshit by chapter 10 so i had the weaker ones go left coverd by 3 generals (noel flare and lui) while everyone else competent is on the right. left is very easy to cover because the halberdiers spawn point is at your starting location while on the right 2 of the spawn points are further in so you cant really block them. you have one easy way of dispatching halberdiers (Roboco rifle crit ohko) while you can shit out some degree of offense if creative enough with other things (iirc i had berserker suisei crit a couple of them while getting buffed by amelia investigation)
the chapter basically has no anti-turtling measures so you can just take your time to kill everyone after you kill the halberdiers
funnily enough laplus might be complete dog but she’s still 1 authority star and you can actually use her to block one of the halberdier spawn points so she still does things despite having basically no stats lmao
for reference the units i already have promoted by chapter 10 (i used all holo emblems available prior to this map):
berserker suisei, general noel, sniper flare (to general), general lui, bishop lamy (who is an absolute no brainer instant promo btw, barely enough AS to avoid getting doubled at base, does pretty good chip with shine tomes, and gets physic access in like three staff uses so all the physic staves you stole in chapter 8 can be used asap
my personal pov is if you think ch10 is bad then you’re probably not prepared for the rest of the game, personal worst chapter pick for me is chapter 24 which is like ch10 except cranked way upwards because of entrap and enemies having like permanent 30 authority from a hidden boss and the recruitment on the map on top of it is actually ridiculous, you have to kill the boss first to recruit the recruitable character, but the recruitable character is an enemy blocking the door to the boss LOL
In that map I lured that unit with the other group, using the stairs to escape to the other side and with the other group I opened the boss door and defeated him before that unit came back.
I quite liked that map precisely because of the strategic use you can make of the stairs.

Yea chapter 10 is brutal. It’s very frontloaded though. Once you survive the reinforcements there isn’t much left that’s scary. On the right side I rushed the swordmaster room and turtled in there. Was even able to capture a bunch of spears and leveled up a bunch of units by letting them poke the enemies. On the left I blocked the halberdier reinforcements with a few less needed units and the biggest issue was ambush spawns sniping fragile units (and my own impatience). After I rushed the middle room by bunching up on one side I was able to leisurely steal the physic staves from the bishops and feed the promoted enemies in the boss room to weak units.
Ame’s personal is an absolute savior. She honestly carried a killing edge around just cause it was the highest might weapon she could find at C rank. Also leaving Azki unpromoted before that makes the chapter so much easier.
Honestly, ease up on the halberdiers, change the ambush spawns, and an anti turtling mechanic wouldn’t even be frustrating. The map has some annoying features, but it wasn’t bad enough to make me quit. Just took a few tries.
Yea chapter 10 is arguably the worst chapter in the game in terms of flow. I really wanted that central room and the throne to be a two part section, but it ended up hurting the gameplay a bunch
This game is too polished for hobby projects with that original Sprite and animation. You’re amazing

I thought of this map like CQ22 (Sakura), I tried and few times and it was quite hard, so I just decided to deploy half the units and focus only on one side and it was a breeze. That’s one way to cheese the map if anything, especially since you may or may not need that many units to deploy in the first place.

I will also like to especially thank you for still including members that have either graduated or have been terminated, especially with Mel being included with her being my oshi.
That said, I have unforutanely have been yet unable to play the game due to me having trouble getting the rom to work.
I have the emulator up, and have the ups up. But when I try to put the file in the patch it dosent work. Could you please explain to me what I am doing wrong.

You need to manually patch the ups file to the rom using a patcher. I recommend using the program NUPS (As I use that the most commonly). Any online UPS patcher should work as well
