Will there be a recruitment and/or supports guide made at some point? Just trying to plan out team comps

I wasnā€™t going to have a list of support gains originally, because I didnā€™t want people getting bogged down thinking about it, but some people do enjoy labbing that stuff out, so Iā€™ve added a recruitment guide and a list of support bonuses to the OP.

Funny bug in chapter 16

I played this chapter to near the end, got Eudociaā€™s dialogue that makes her start moving, had to suspend and restart because the Thunderhead got trapped into a game over, so I restart the chapter, and Eudocia decided to do her dialogue and start moving at the start of turn 2.

Edit: I fixed it by saved at the preps and resetting from there

Is this game complete? With all chapters

Yes, the hack is complete.

Also, Iā€™ve pushed a fix for that bug in Chapter 16. It was caused by the counter being set by the door event, rather than at the start of the chapter. Iā€™ve adjusted both events to compensate. Also fixed the issue of Flux having the wrong item description.

Man Iā€™ve been waiting for this little gem to be completed! Thanks for your hard work on it. I know it says Iā€™d miss out on some stuff if I didnā€™t play the other but I just wanted to ask, would it make the story less impactful if I havenā€™t played the others?

Donā€™t feel any obligation to play the others first, this one is just set in the same setting, the plots arenā€™t connected.

Also, Iā€™ve pushed a fix for a bug that was causing the units in CH20 to join without the correct levels or items, so I would recommend redownloading the patch.

EDIT: Had to reupload the patch yet again as a unit still wasnā€™t joining with the right items.

Just finished the game, amazing hack. one of the best i have played)

just started the game today and already found a major bug. for some godforsaken reason, if a unit enters combat with animations off and both units survive, it automatically causes a game over.

keeping anims on does not trigger this bug.

this is the first time Iā€™ve ever seen something like this and itā€™s genuinely surprised me

I have absolutely no idea whatā€™s causing that, because itā€™s not happening for me. What emulator are you playing on?

Is there a list of paired endings?

No. Thereā€™s only a few anyway, and Iā€™d prefer people just go for the support that gives whatever item they want and not need to worry about whether thereā€™s a pairing involved.

I only played chapter 1 and now started chapter 2
is it normal that my mounted units are now unmounted?

just wanted to congratulate you on the game, iā€™m on chapter 6 and this is easily one of the most fun hacks iā€™ve played recently.

Yeah makes sense and I think itā€™s neat.

Finished up my run a few days ago and it let sit with me before I dropped a review. First of all, absolute banger of a hack. Following since war on two fronts, itā€™s clear to me that captain has not sat on his laurels and consistently improved upon previous ideas and came up with entirely new ones. Numbers are tight, and it all just works. Being able to consistently ohko in lategame felt like a highlight of that, despite enemies not being slouches either finding setups that work was extremely satisfying.

Map design, besides generally being gorgeous especially outdoor maps consistently rewards smart use of your naval options and adds diversity to combat wrt to finding answers to the enemies own naval units. The cast itself is well rounded, by lategame I found myself rotating a few units depending on the maps demands which to me is a highlight of lategame performances. Musically I still have the ch1 theme in my head lol, the soundtrack perfectly nautical on the whole and I have to give credit for not hearing these tracks anywhere else.

Story wise I really quite enjoyed it, especially the finale which I will do my best not to spoil anything. But, I absolutely adore the stakes at play, high but not astronomically so and at the end itā€™s a clash of interpersonal tragedies. The support system is very neat, In a future playthrough I see myself trying to metagame the system to unlock some of the wackier items.

Lastly, holy shit Francis is so cool expect an effortpost soon. Ultimately, lords of the Seas is a hack that will stick with me for a while and I absolutely adore it. While I sure hope youā€™ve got more hacks to bless us with, I think itā€™s an excellent capstone work on the trilogy that youā€™ve released already.

Great work as usual captain, itā€™s almost enough for me to forgive you for being British.

Was the dialogue between Isabella and the bandits in the opening of chapter 7 really necessary? Yes, it was two lines of dialogue but none of the previous dialogue is even close to the implications brought by it. It caught me entirely off-guard, and honestly soured my experience and made me close the game immediately after reading it.
