[FE8] [Complete] Fire Emblem: Twisted Heart - Rise of the Demon King (v1.9)

You said earlier that you got an invalid ROM warning, which means it has been modified at some point. Try a different copy and it should work :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh I get it! That’s awesome to know. I’ll start working on getting the canonical ending then try again for the good one in a higher difficulty in a second playthrough.
One other question if I may, can the mine glitch be abused in this game to get enemy weapons or is it patched?

You have a discord account? Go join the Fire Emblem Universe(FEU) Discod Server and ask people there to join you in voice chat and walk you through patching the Romhack. My Discord name is
diealot. look me up once you join the server

I love the game it is fun

The enemy control glitch is not patched. However, just like in the original Sacred Stones, no mines have been added so it might be tricky to pull it off (lava tiles, torch staves, Gorgon eggs and snags are all in the hack, so it should be possible).

@Jmorales Awesome! I’m glad you’re enjoying it =)

damn a Magvel prequel? I have been for a long time thinking about making one myself on the rise of the Demon King, after working on other projects, so I’m very happy to see someone else had the same idea and cooked this well :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I will be sure to try your hack the coming days if I don’t get lost too much in silksong ahah !

Well, you know what they say about great minds

All right, if Silksong permits, I look forward to hearing your thoughts =)

I’m especially interested in seeing how you story turn out to be especially with the two endings ! That’s a very cool concept, and I really want to see how someone else portrayal of those legendary events that we have very few leftover in the original game story !

Oh yeah, the endings are definitely some of the highlights of the hack. I for sure had to cut a couple of corners to make the canon align with my vision, but in the end I was very happy with how it turned out (with Emmelyn’s character development standing at the center of both endings).

Once you have seen it, I would love to hear how it compares to the ending you had in mind for the prequel you envisioned :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, just wanted to ask if there is some special condition to end Ch 11? Currently I have defeated all enemies but the chapter doesn’t end (playing on normal difficulty, i don’t know if it’s a bug):

Hello!

That chapter indeed has some pretty convoluted conditions for the end event to start. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some scenario I didn’t account for.

Have you defeated both Dermont and Wilhelm in that save?

Hi! I defeated Dermont first and then recruited Wilhelm

Alright, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have updated the download so he cannot be recruited in that scenario. I would explain why, but that would spoil a certain event

Unfortunately, you will need to restart the chapter after downloading the latest version in order to progress, but seeing as you were able to make it that far in 10 turns, I hope it’s not too much trouble =)

Not related to the hack, but it seems you have another hack called “The Author’s Curse”
It is a new one you’re working in or an old one?

That’s an old one made for the SIGURD contest a few months back. As per contest rules it is only one chapter long and it didn’t take more than a couple weeks to make, so I never bothered making its own thread for it.

Currently, I’m not working on anything. Though I have a couple of candidates for my next project, if I can find the time for it. Next thing I might do is make a normal mode for Accursed Fate, as many people have found it to be a bit tough, but we’ll see :slightly_smiling_face:

I see, thanks for the answer.
Will look forward to play all your hacks!

Can you walk me through chapter 15? Are there multiple different possible scenarios if taking the evil/canon route? Are there units that don’t leave no matter what? Do I kill Valdemar or not? Can I use the map to exp grind then make the units leave before Valdemar and the Father?

First and foremost, please spoiler tag your post. You do this by writing
at the end of the spoiler text and
at the start. :slightly_smiling_face:

Now…

You can make all your units leave the field except Emmelyn and Mordin. Anna is the only one not to do this by talking to someone, instead choosing to leave on her own after a certain turn count is reached. Yes, you can wait until the end before you do this to have them exp. grind and help Emmelyn clear the area.

Valdemar does not need to die. Cynthia can convince him to change his mind, which is why it is best to have Vanessa leave by talking to Gregory in place of her. If Cynthia is not available, you can instead use a sleep staff on him, although defeating Balmor under such circumstances should be pretty challenging.

This chapter only has one ending and does not affect the final ending to the story, so you can approach the boss fight any way you like. Balmor’s fate is sealed, as it prompts a final decision for Emmelyn to make in the last somnium chapter. That decision, however, is dependent on her having remained virtuous on all previous somnium chapters - if not, her only choice is the evil path.

That is impressive stuff duuude!
Thanks for elaborating.

When Ragnor and Jarvis talk, Ragnor leaves but Jarvis stays… is this a bug?

No problem!

Oh yeah… I see that’s a leftover from when that character occupied another slot in memory earlier in development.

Thank you for pointing this out to me! I have now fixed the issue, so feel free to redownload the patch :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:
