So I’m trying to download the hack, but for some reason the patch doesn’t work it just loads up my regular sacred stones rom and idk if its the rom i have or what, but I’m lost

What exactly is the difference between hard mode and lunatic mode? Is lunatic viable on first playthrough? and is this game iron mannable? Thank you for the effort into this! I love prequel stories and am especially interested in how this plays out since FE8 is my favorite FE game
The difference between Difficult and Lunatic is that enemies are much stronger in Lunatic and that there are more waves of reinforcements. A couple of chapters also have more starting enemies with powerful weapons equipped, making them far more difficult.
Yes, the game is ironman-able. However, you do not get many new units in the late game (instead you get a bunch early on) so you need to make sure no units go untrained, unless you want to risk losing the run from stray crits down the line. Also, several maps feature few playable units as you don’t have access to the main army, so familiarizing yourself with enemy spawns and movements before attempting an iron man is a good idea.
I’d definitely recommend completing Difficult before Lunatic so you will be familiar with spawns and viable tactics. The only downside to this is that the good ending (which frankly should not be attempted on a first playthrough in my opinion) is much more difficult to reach on Lunatic, but if you are aiming for a challenge, then it’s definitely the way to go

Most patching programs spit out a patched copy when it’s done, including the one I linked above. Are you sure you didn’t accidentally boot the original unpatched version? The patched one should show up in “downloads” on your device by default.
@Jmorales Strange. It’s possible that the ROM was already edited in some manner (QoL updates, spelling/localisation fixes and the like). Did the patcher say what was wrong?

@Elessar7 Strange, that should work. The rom is not in a .rar format, is it? Some emulators allow you to play them in that compressed form, but they cannot be patched in that state.

When killing the demon on the right you get a different response than when you kill the one on the left. So, are the 2 different endings a result of cumulative different choices or is there one single choice that gives you different endings?

Major spoilers below:
Starting with Somnium II, all Somnium chapters will have two endings. Getting the correct endings is crucial if you want the good ending and, as you may have noticed, it is quite obvious which ending you get from the hooded spirit’s reaction and the background music. If the correct ending is missed at any point, then the final Somnium chapter’s good ending becomes inaccessible, forcing the “bad”/canonical ending of the story.
As I indicated in a previous comment, I’d advise experiencing the good ending only after completing the hack at least once first. Partly because the good ending is more difficult to reach, but mostly because it will be a far more satisfying experience once you know the full extent of what has been averted.
