[FE8] [COMPLETE] Eligor's Spear version 4.0 (47 Chapters)

I forgot Barbatos. And as for Camio, you need to ambush and spawn-kill him as soon as he vanishes from the stairs tile in order to unlock the secret.

I tried this, but I didn’t get the secret. Is there something else I need to do?

You need to kill him in one turn as soon as he spawns from another stairs tile as soon as he vanishes from the stairs tile on Enemy Phase.

I’ll just DM you my question since I don’t think Zarg wants someone to post the secrets here

Came back to this hack a few days ago and am enjoying it. I wanted to give some specific feedback/criticism on The Unforgiven Gaiden though. Tbh this chapter needs some work on it pretty bad.
The amount of trial and error you need just to understand how to complete the chapter, even when you have instructions in the dialog as well as post battle preps, is ridiculous. There is no indication of which resource you need for which village, and the main village you need to visit EIGHT(8)! times and use 4 pure waters. At the bare minimum it should state which resource you need at each village before the chapter. Also, maybe its a technical thing, but it absolutely should not eat all the item uses when offering them at the village if you need to offer them multiple times. That’s just absurd.
It wasn’t even close to the hardest chapter I’ve played so far, but just wanted to give my input as it really stuck out to me. Having a lot of fun regardless.

Also, I know some devs don’t give it away, but where are the secret shops? I haven’t combed every map since I got the member card but I haven’t seen any obvious secret shop-esque tiles.

You don’t need to use full items, and you can buy all those things in the battle prep shop

Secret shops are only in chapters where you can get the members card, so if a village gives you one or its an enemy drop then there’s a secret shop in that same chapter

I wonder if it’s a good design, that playing the hard way rewards you with stat boosters, meaning if someone is good he gets even better units, which he doesn’t need anyway since he can beat those chapters in the first place, while those who struggle are left with nothing and struggle even more. First chapter and already missed chest, second chapter obviously didn’t kill boss and third chapter had to rush to the boat, because situation on the map was getting too hard, so no visiting village. If entire game is like that, then at some point it might get tricky with so much content missed.

Play it in difficult easy. if still to hard for u, I think u just to noob to play this. This room is for veterans who love hard game full strategy.

There’s no strategy in game, which relies so heavily on rng. There’s no easy, only normal. And you sound like an elitist prick.

Read ppl chat here. They can beat the game in lunatics there even have recorded in yt. Just be grateful u can ply this for free

I just finished playing both routes–really enjoyed it overall! Really liked the focus on management of enemy placements/ranges, though I do agree that the early and mid-game decisions between trying to get all the items / side objectives and finishing the map (particularly since you usually figure out how to beat the map well before you figure out how to beat it and also get/do all the things) can snowball negatively if you just focus on getting through the map. Wasn’t an issue for me since I’m usually a bit of a completionist, though not enough to replay to get Belphoebe–I didn’t realize you also have to keep an additional enemy alive instead of her, otherwise the map just ends without recruitment once she becomes a green unit.

Still really enjoyed it! Trying to get through the postgame now.

Finally made it through both stories, and goodness, should have played on the easy difficulty. Enjoyable game and challenge, even if big parts of it were way above my skill grade and a lesson in frustration and resets.

Been trying my luck in the postgame for a bit now, but it seems like all of the secret stuff is also above my ability to figure out. Is there a guide for the treasure boxes? Only ever stumbled on one by pure accident, and don’t even know how or why.
