Just got a turn 4 clear of Invisible Shackles with the guiding ring obtained, all three phantoms alive, and no crit rigging on the boss (Olberich happened to get a ~20% crit on a skeleton on turn 1 that probably mattered?). Shoutouts to Zarg for proving to me that this was possible.
I hope Zarg is okay with me doing this, it is so hard to give hints that not dead giveaway
Astaroth secret hint
Read Astaroth info, what other name is in it? Maybe try to finish him while carrying something…
Ronove secret hint
They said they’re 1 souls in 2 bodies right? What if one hurt another?
Camio secret hint
Camio is a “back”stabber. So what if you do the same to him? There is an event that happen at the start of every chapter if you do something, so maybe try do it while killing him?
Which is why I was so opposed to even hints. I was worried that folks would just look them up and not even try finding the secrets on their own, but on the other hand, it’s not like I can just have Yoslo personally available for the rest of time for anyone seeking help with the secrets.
So yeah, hints that are not just dead giveaway are probably the second best thing. There have been at least some folks who did go out of their way to find all the secrets in the end.
@Yoslo004 if you’re around, feel free to post your own hints.
I still don’t understand some of the lairs because the hints are far more obscure than the others, I hope Zarg is ok with this piece of record lying around.
Yesss, I got “him” as well. Even though he hasn’t reached his stat cap yet and has a 0% growth rate, he’s still incredibly strong. I’ll probably need to replay the Warlord Lair multiple times to feed him stat boosters.
Even without maxed stats, he remains completely overpowered.
Huge praise to Zarg for creating such an enjoyable and challenging rom hack with excellent storytelling. The postgame content and lore are especially impressive—deep enough to leave me with many unanswered questions.
Now that I think about it, every Warlord Lair secret actually makes sense. The only one I don’t quite understand is Camio—I’m still not sure why you have to do that to unlock his secret.
Overall, this is a very high-quality Fire Emblem rom hack. Thank you, Zarg, for creating such an amazing (and also traumatizing, lol) experience.
Yeah camio is really hard, the only secret @Yoslo004 needed to outright spell out for me to discover, the other ones are all managble with some hints if you think outside the box. I particularly enjoyed the ronove secret, it’s just too funny
What I don’t like about Camio’s Lair is that you had to do a whack-a-mole game with Camio and make sure you spawn-kill him after he disappears into a staircase tile in your next turn.
