Sorry about all of the bugs! Thanks for pointing them out! I have no idea how to fix the dark bg thing but I’ll work at it. The other two should be easy fixes.

All the weird ass bugs I encountered aside, this stands as one of my least favorite hacks played here, in its current form at least. I certainly think it’s an interesting enough hack however, just needs some polishing.

Personally my biggest gripe is how the enemy AI is comically exploitable. Any enemy that goes below half HP instantly turns passive and will run to the nearest healer or fort to heal back up, even when they are clearly in range of multiple blue units that they can instantly kill off, and even if they’re the scary ass lategame boss that can kill the living shit out of you. Which leads to funny moments like…

The final boss was also on a level where I thought it seemed very overtuned - 44 attack with hawkeye, vantage and wrath and the guy pierces defense on top of it, not to mention 30+ defenses on both sides. (not to mention his penultimate form had 50+ defenses!!!) Fighting him at low HP was basically close to softlock territory because I did not expect the boss to be that bad and my Marth only had 39 max HP. I get that the game showers you in robes, but I dumped them all on others and so ended up being somewhat stumped when I had to fight a boss that quite literally deletes Marth before he could attack if he was below half HP. The solution I ended up settling on was rigging a embolden falchion crit to one shot the boss because otherwise dealing with him was bullshit.

I was planning to do a 0 growths run of this game after my first run, but the experience has been messy enough that I feel like I want to move on to something else first while this gets polished up in the meantime.

Some extra notes:

  • I found it weird that Wolf gets a reclass/promotion as (probably) a nod to SD where reclassing him is very meta (or NM where the Wolf/Sedgar support talks about how Wolf will switch weapons etc, which was also an indirect nod to SD meta), but Sedgar somehow seems to have gotten the absolute short end of the stick, which feels kinda sad given he basically doesn’t get the chance to grow out of his rot like Wolf gets to due to 20 extra levels and promotion bonuses from General, and Sedgar was also part of the reclass meta in SD to begin with (and was probably more fitting for the General class too with his 105% def growth there). Sedgar basically gets the worst of both worlds here, since he still has his terrible bases, doesn’t keep his huge SD growths, and can’t promote/reclass to anything on top of it ??? Utter yikes.
  • Banning the usage of promotion items within the chapter itself seems kinda weird given that the first two secret reclasses in the game was done ‘promotion’ style so it wasn’t like it’s anything strange to begin with
  • While Javelins/Hand Axes getting 25 weight was a pretty good effort in balancing them, I found that penalty to be somewhat contravened lategame if you have units with high con + speed like Barst or General Wolf, which lets them use hand axes while retaining enough AS to still double. I guess the overall targets were the fliers though so eh
  • Gharnef spawning the turn right after recruiting Tiki is an absolute meme level move given that there’s literally no way you’re getting either Tiki or Bantu out of range in time lmao
  • For some absolutely bizarre reason the triangle attack does not work at all. No idea if this is intentional or not. I took a quick peek in builder and for some reason Est doesn’t have the TA skill turned on which seems to be why
  • Caeda couldn’t use Nosferatu tomes when dismounted, Divine and other light tomes was perfectly fine though
  • Est doesn’t have a solo ending
  • I have not played the alternate route yet, but I noticed that you lose 6 characters from going here (the 5 Macedon related recruits + Lorenz), while that also somewhat matches up with the number of characters that were cut from the game to begin with (Wrys, Darros, Beck, Horace, Etzel and Ymir). Feel like it may be worth considering having those 6 replace the 6 characters that you otherwise lose somehow.

As for banning the use of promo items on-map, the reason for that was to avoid bugginess with the dismounting system. Promoting from an unmounted class into an unmounted class caused some weird stat issues, so I made so ummounted classes promote into their mounted class, but that caused some issues if you used the promotion item on a tile the mounted unit couldn’t go onto. So the compromise was to just let you promote in preps only.

As for your other feedback, I’ll definitely take it all into account and make changes when I can. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your time with the hack, but I appreciate you giving it a try and sharing your thoughts!

i not really mind about can not change /use promote items in batrle anyway.
I just hope White wings sister will get even thay can change Wyvern rider/lord in event map like wolf do :slight_smile:
due i really wanna see it like in Shadow dragon and dark hardin DS

Man sad the one make wolf knight class still not upload his bow animation yet (only dagger/ sword/ magic sword/ axe/ hand axe / lance and spear.)!
if it complete it will fit for Hadin and his crew (White Coyote and Wolfguard). :slight_smile:

Wrys, Darros, Beck was terrible from the star.
Horace, Etzel and Ymir ineed strong but the game giving player a lot of knight (in Horace problem) some how the girl call student of Gharnef that can rerurit by talk to her with wind mage dude is far stronger than Etzel. She even have skill allow her can use high power light tome too.

I had plans to make him playable at one point but decided against it. Nyna should be able to survive, I made it so he shouldn’t attack her, ai think?

Yeah, you can’t recruit Camus. The conversation with Nyna is just for flavor. He drops the Gradivus if you kill him, and if you manage to get through the chapter without killing him (the only way to do so is by killing Lorenz) then you get the Master Lance instead.

Like, in general? A secret event is just an event that requires you to meet certain requirements that aren’t outright stated by the game. Specifically, the only secret event in the Camus chapter happens if you’re on the Secret Route, which happens if you kill Minerva in Chapter 10.

Oops I forgot to update the patch lmao It’s been a while since I’ve actually done much with this, but I have done some stuff since the last update. Changes include:

  • Four new characters in the Secret Route
    • Darros in Chapter 11 (talk with Barst)
    • Horace in Chapter 16 (talk with Nyna, Jeorge, or Midia)
    • Etzel (automatically at the end of Chapter 18)
    • Ymir (automatically at the end of Chapter 21 if you didn’t let the village get destroyed)
  • New event promotion for Sedgar in Chapter 12. Deploy Sedgar on that map and play through it as you normally would. Eventually an event will happen that makes it clear what you need to do :wink: Sedgar gets a fully unique class. Spoilers: He meets a wolf on the battlefield, befriends it, and reclasses into Wolf Knight. Since I didn’t want to mess around with more mounting/dismounting classes, I made Wolf Knight the only cavalry class that can enter indoor maps/tiles. There’s a lampshade-y reason for it lol
  • Edited the event in Chapter 20 where Gharnef spawns. Now he summons 4 heroes near the starting position that run towards you.
  • Messed with Endgame2 boss’s stats a bit. He now deals around 30-34 damage instead of 40+. * Also removed Wrath on Hard Mode and gave him Savage Blow on Hard, and Wary Fighter and Renewal on Hard and Normal.
  • Edited some bosses AIs to not go into recovery mode when low on HP. They fight to the DEATH with HONOR and PROBABLY TAKE ONE OF YOUR UNITS WITH THEM. lol
  • Changed around Midia’s skills
