His facial structure was pretty good already, so the main changes are the colors and the hair

Why’d you move his hair roots :frowning:

I’m trying my best to make sure every portrait has a more realistic part line, and that’s where it made the most sense from this angle. If you have any ideas on how to make it look better, let me know!

Updated Canas’s hair (Thanks for the suggestion )

So far from what it looks, your FE7 portrait reworks look great, man. I especially like your Priscilla one, since I felt that part of her clothing felt a bit too flat in shading (the green colored parts specifically). I do think that you do use the outline color for skin shading (mainly at the neck) a bit more than how it’s used in normal FE GBA portraits, but other than that, this looks cool!

Checks out! I’ll update the portraits I’ve finished with your feedback

I’m very satisfied with this one, but that’s probably just because of Blade’s beautiful blonde tones in his color palette collection

Here’s a WIP Lyn I’ve had for a bit. Updates to her are on the way, but it’s something

the coloring of these portraits remind me most of fe5, which im a big fan of since thats probably aesthetically my favorite game in the series. overall great work!

this includes the tileset palettes, right? if so thats huge, i really dont like the way some of the fe7 tilesets work and if the colors get darkened/deepened i would play this patch whenever i want to play fe7

It most likely will. I’ve tried a few times to update the palettes, and had some trouble with them, so it’ll take a while before that happens, sadly.

if youre trying to use asesprite for edits and febuilder for insertion i find its easy to mess with the palettes within febuilder itself and streamlines the process. also you can use the already-designed-for-a-backlight colors from the fe8 green plains (the one used in 13 eirika) and other fe8 tilesets as a base and work off that. i have a hunch thats what project ember did for its darkened tilesets

Can you tried to do Glass as well?

Again, pretty subtle. His colors and facial structure were fine, so just minor tweaks.

Omg just noticed your profile picture is an edited version of Glass! That’s super cool. I’m going to make a version with the blue hair, blue outfit, and crown in your honor
