Is this correct? She is a mage but uses dark magic and has no magic ranks. Will she be stuck at her current rank? Whats the rank anyways?
Yes, that’s right.
In the Hack I changed the mage class and the promotion to sage so that it can use different types of magics, I intended to make it very similar to the Red Mage from Final Fantasy because I don’t like that in promotion all the magic classes have access to healing magic, it made them all too similar to each other for my tastes.
Nino can only use dark magic at the moment and when she is promoted she will be able to use Anima and Light magic in addition to dark magic.
To avoid giving spoilers.
Later in the story an important character will join to your team and he will be able to use both magical and physical attacks, this is not supported in Fire Emblem 7, so making this choice has created a bug that does not allow the magic ranks to be displayed for all characters.
this is only a visual problem, the ranks will increase as you use the various spells in the game as usual and you will be able to purchase increasingly more powerful spells without problems.
Nino starts with an E rank in dark magic.
She starts with a great magic attack but all her other stats are low.
The level ups in this hack are completely random, even more random than the classic Fire Emblem, and the characters follow the class development rather than the character development, but basically she gets to have a great magic attack and good speed so she can easily get rid of enemies with high physical defense and be protected in case of a direct hit.
She is also the only character able to use ranged spel status, such as Berserk, Sleep or Silence.
I hope you are enjoying the hack and the story.
I am. But I have some nitpicks.
Lyn starts with an Steel Sword but she can burn them out quickly and I had like 2 chapters without another sword except the smasher and Wild Swords which I had to waste as I didn’t have other means to attack.
Another is the lack of a convoy so late. Its kinda annoying to repeat parts because a character gets an item and then the stock is full so I have to re-arrange between my party.
Other than that yeah it has been interesting.
Funny Eliwood is portrayed as a weakling but the dude has been the best of the 3 Lords.
Also thanks for the answers.
I understand all your problems, you are not the first one to say this to me.
Lyn wears out her weapons easily since she is focused on double hits.
Especially on higher difficulties you will find yourself wearing out her weapons very quickly.
In the first story arc you are given an extra Steel Sword after defeating the boss in chapter 1-4, this allows you to get back Lyn’s swords that you use in the prologue.
The Wild Blade will return to your inventory automatically in the second story arc, so use it as you see fit in the first story arc.
The Mage Masher is very useful against mages, so I recommend using it carefully and against certain mages that block your path, you will always have an advantage against them this way, since mages in this hack have a good dodge to compensate for their low defense, Hector will be at a big disadvantage against them.
The shops are different from the classic Fire Emblem and swords will always be the least expensive weapons in the game.
The lack of a convoy is due to the presence of few characters in the first narrative arc and most of the items you get, are all consumable items, I happened to have convoys at the beginning of the story in hack and I didn’t find the reason to have a convoy so early.
Anyway I can already warn you that in the future the problem will always recur for reasons due to the story, at the beginning of the creation of the hack I thought about how to structure the story well and I later realized to match the gameplay with the narrative events.
I think that a game like Fire Emblem is also nice to focus on the organization of inventories to test the player’s skills, even if this choice is not very approved by many players.
Eliwood will grow gradually in the story becoming an increasingly reliable character.
I appreciate that you caught the metaphor I wanted to create.
Although Eliwood does not have confidence in himself he hides great potential, I wanted to show it both in the story but also in the game during the battles, it will be his comrades in arms and the events of the story that will make him grow both as a person and as a leader.
You’re welcome, I like to explain my reasons behind certain choices and help players have better gameplay while playing.
Heh thats okay.
More importantly, I can already use my Tactician but he has the default name.
I know its very nitpicky but one of the reasons I picked this game is the avatar.
Any chance this can be corrected? The dialogue refers to the name I entered just fine.
I can wait. I left 2 hacks on pause to play this so I am in no rush.
Mark is the name of the protagonist of the game.
The name you choose at the beginning is not the name of the Tactician, unlike Fire Emblem Awakening where you impersonate the avatar in this hack your role is that of a guardian, your choices in battle allow the heroes to advance and fulfill their destiny.
The story advances following a precise purpose and your task is to safeguard and protect the characters so that they can overcome difficulties.
The only ones who know of your existence are Anna and Mark himself.
during the tutorial Anna talks to you and when Mark enters the field she talks to you referring to two different people, once Mark begins to regain his memory which will happen much later in the game he will rely on you to defeat the final threat and save the world.
The story is inspired and influenced by Fire Emblem Awakening, I intended to create something similar, some similarities are for example Mark himself who is very similar to the Avatar from Awakening in terms of his equipment and his class.
In short, see yourself within the story as a protagonist who, with the help and a connection you have with Mark, is able to shape the course of events. Similar to Awakening but at the same time different.
I see. Not a fan of that honestly. I will ponder wether to continue ot not.
Thanks.
No problem, it’s a story choice that the player may like or not. Anyway, if you’re interested in playing and impersonating an avatar in Fire Emblem, I’ve heard of a hack called Fire Emblem The Legends of Avenir, I’ve never played it but it seems interesting, you could try it and see if it’s for you. In fact, I intended to play it as soon as I completed the hack I’m playing now.
Dude not gonna lie, the best fe7 hacks ive played. I really like how you took the original story and made something entirely new and fresh. Only one thing i would have loved more is if there was a lyn and mark ending. Anyways, I am gonna start the sequel now. Have u made any other hacks? would love to try them out too.
Thank You for this amazing hack tho.
A fellow Lyn and Mark Shipper.
Thank you for your words.
My intent was to create a story that respected some things from the main story but was new at the same time.
Mark and Lyn have a different bond from the original in this story also I had other plans for him in the sequel that’s why the ending was created this way.
Other hacks of my creation are Fire Emblem 6 The royal army the sequel to Path of a hero and Fire emblem 8 the Fallen Princess.
This last one takes inspiration from the original story to create something new like Path of a hero and balances and improves the combat class system, growth and weapon triangle created in Path of a hero.
At the moment the Royal army has 27 chapters plus a secret chapter playable from the tutorial and Fallen princess 23 + 14 chapters of the DLC.
I recommend you play Fire Emblem 6 the Royal Army in normal mode because the mod remains faithful to the original difficulty of Fire Emblem 6 in Hard mode
thanks for the reply. so i have started the royal army…as u said it has 27 chapters…is the story not complete yet? or do u intend to add more chapters for extending the story?
The main story is complete at the moment.
As updates I should add a DLC called ‘‘After War’’ that explains what happens shortly after the events of the final chapter.
The project for me is complete and at the moment I have no intention of working on the DLC so from a story point of view that’s it.
I would appreciate it if you left a comment if you liked the story and the gameplay did not seem frustrating.
I may come back to update the Hard Mode that for some seemed too difficult, but at the moment the project is complete as it is.
Hi there. Just downloaded this and was rather enjoyable…until Arc2-7. It became unplayable. Kept hard bugging and freezing.
- advanced to the fog of war half of the chapter, seized the throne and then “a fillas might has been pilfered” and then it just stays on the overworld sprites. No dialogue, but the characters do nothing but stand there.
- one attempt had up to the boss when ninian moves to his side…the undead get summoned, then it pulls up a battle sequence with the zombie and the boss, boss has 0 hp, but the zombie has full, and it freezes
- reach boss, kill, then the bandit comes on screen with his dialogue, then game chops and freezes
- another attempt couldn’t even move to attack the first mercs, game chopped and froze.
Any way to fix it or am I just missing something
It all seems very strange to me, no one has ever reported this error to me. The chapter has also been tested several times. Can you tell me which emulator are you using to play?
Try replaying the chapter without letting anyone near the ladder near the throne. At the end of the chapter that’s where Ninian will appear. Having a character in that area could cause a bug.
If that doesn’t work try sending me your save file.
The emulator I use is VBA v2.1.11, and I’ve never had this issue with any other fire emblem hack.
As far as sending you my save file, how would I go about doing that?
I’ve also played with not letting anyone near the ladder. The same thing happens. Ninian moves from right to left, the undead get summoned, boss battle begins, boss has 0 hp, undead is full, and then chop freeze.
Go to the game folder and get the save file it should end with the word ‘‘sav’’. Then send the file to the site you are writing to me. I will see if I can fix the error.
Ok, give me a few. I’ll get back to you with it.
Very good, the error has been fixed.
Another Warning message has been added to the hack page.
A poll has been created on my hacks page.
Fire Emblem 7 Path of Hero.
Fire Emblem 6 the Royal Army.
Fire Emblem 8 The Fallen Princess.
Use it if you want, to let me know your opinion on the project.
It is recommended to vote only if you have played at least half of the hack.
Answer honestly and do not worry I am satisfied with my projects I am only interested in knowing your opinion.
