I want to hear people talk about their fan game ideas, as I have one of my own

Please share your ideas first.

Alright then.

I don’t have the tools for it, this is more of a concept than anything.

The game’s called Fire Emblem: The Benched

The premise is essentially, make the characters people don’t use into actual enemy threats, and have The Benched be the equivalent of Risen

The Benched will be patchwork units comprised of other units’ body parts, and their names will literally just be their class, (i.e. LORD, CAVALIER, KNIGHT, etc)

It’s meant to be a horror piss take about how people never use units like Caesar, Radd, etc

I want to make a mini hack about Shouzou Kaga Emblem Ring, but you are only given one unit until you can recruit more after getting the ring (with the ring’s powers of course…)

I have quite some few fan game ideas. Out of all these one of them might be probably the most serious one, since it’s meant to be a deconstruction and reconstruction of some general story ideas, some of them not even just being ones from main FE games, specifically ones that are about revolutions, rebellions and how badly they can go if one isn’t careful, how each man has their own specific idea of freedom, and how this would clash with other people’s lives.

Another one I have in mind is one where a group of people end up losing their world thanks to strange creatures that eat other people’s spirits to create more of them, and they go to other worlds to save them from this fate, and these worlds are from different IPs than FE. This one is not only a bit more optimistic, but it is a bit more goofier (and pretty much being a typical fan fic story) due to some of the IPs being a bit more out of place for the FE franchise, as in they’re either more meant for a younger audience or are just straight up weird, but it still has its serious moments. It also includes cameos from actual FE characters. Yeah, if you replace FE with another game franchise, then this is pretty much similar to another game franchise. If you know, you know.

My idea has been pretty simple I guess… It’s just a bad ending though. Maybe my pfp is self-explanatory.

If humanity was faced with 2 options, what would they choose? The options are:

  1. Eternal corruption. Your soul gets tainted and you lose your free will. You become the devil’s pawn.
  2. Destruction of world. Everything gets destroyed.

Naturally, people will try to find a 3rd option in such scenarios…but suppose a 3rd option isn’t feasible at all. What would people choose? Well I know there will be some who choose 1st option because they believe as long as they survive they have hope. There will be those who believe living a tainted and disgusting life is worse than death. Both of them will end up fighting. But it’s just a weird fantasy at this point. One of my dangerous ideas I guess.

That’s what I was thinking for a bad ending of my game too, except it’s a bit more dark

There are a couple of units from other Fire Emblem games that were taken by the Benched and corrupted. If you don’t save them all, the next time you see the Fire Emblem title, it’s stripped of all personality, leaving it as just a black background with plain white text on it

Looks like our ideas are very alike but not entirely same.

Another thing I’m thinking of is basing the designs of the ā€˜taken’ characters on Edelgard’s Hegemon Husk, while also removing their faces entirely. Because who needs to remember the face of a useless b1tch like Caesar, Radd, Roshea or Vyland?

About 20 years ago, I had a game Idea called ā€œFire Emblem: Warriors of Arentaā€ (later renamed Dark Legacy) which tried to bridge the gap between Elibe and Magvel by using a continent called Arenta which began trading with both of the others by sea shortly after the events of FE6 and FE8.

I have it written down but don’t actually recall the details of the story right now. But it centered around an object called the Shadow Seal (Arenta’s Fire Emblem) which is connected to the histories of both Fomortiis and the Dragon’s Gate, explaining the origins of the Demon King, where Myrrh’s tribe came from, and what happened to Dragon society on the other side of the Dragon’s Gate after the original Scouring.

An idea I’ve had for a long time is:
(Warning: long text)

A story centered on psychological horror and survival(although it also has some funny moments). The continent is being affected by an inexplicable phenomenon that allows individuals and entities from other worlds to appear—some of which shouldn’t even be real, and others that should be dead. Kael and his group must discover what is causing these apparitions while trying to survive in a world where not all threats follow the same rules.
(You’ve got original characters like:
Albrecht, the Jagen
Ciro, your friend with an above-average IQ
The Pegasus Knight sisters: Miriel, the eldest; Cassandra, the middle sister; and Anastasia, the youngest of them all
Lune, your cleric
Rook, a reformed bandit… But don’t expect much from a psychopath
Lucan, a cold, emotionless, edgy Myrmidon… and a chef
Theo, a horseman specializing in social sciences and a sociologist
Dux, an ancient god, predating civilization, with a power beyond our comprehension… Wait, it’s just a duck)
It also features characters from various horror movies, video games, and other franchises

Since it’s Fire Emblem, horror-themed and introducing characters from other worlds… Ashley and Andrew?

No, I don’t plan on including those two.
