Archanea Monthly (October 2024 Vol.2)

Can’t wait to see next month issue then ! :star_struck:

Also when it comes to the interviews, this part really catched my eyes, it’s clearly sounds very far from romhacking and the demake he made but I’m very curious about Gamma’s Visual Novel project ! :eyes:

I never thought that having a monthly magazine about the FEGBA romhaking scene would be so cool, but now that it exists, I can confirm that it is VERY cool! Good job to the whole team :heavy_heart_exclamation:

Hehe, I love to see talk of other projects spinning off from discussions. Warms my heart to spread word of people’s passion projects. I’ll always promote discussions of people’s projects in the thread.
The Archanea Monthly is supposed to be equal parts cool and informative! You can catch up on FE hacking news even if you’ve had to take a month or two to step away from the community!

Hi y’all, I’m Lily, back here to present a new edition of Archanea Monthly to everyone! We’re so glad to have you readers, both new and returning! Anna and I have been slaving away to get this one out just in time for FEE3, so we hope you love it!

Apologies for the late issue this month. It was meant to come out closer to mid-October, but I fell ill because of bulimia (I can’t recommend it, kids) and had to rest for a little over a week. We fell behind despite Anna’s best efforts, and we can’t apologize enough for developers who might have been anticipating seeing their hacks in this month’s issue. Rest assured, we’re arranging for you to be featured in the future though. We didn’t forget!

We’ve got some great ones in this October Issue! Dark Stone as the headline hack and tons of interviews, including one from the Dream of Five Devs! Don’t forget about our guide to the default options to Vesly’s new reclassing patch too! Dive on in and see what we’ve got in store and share it with all your friends!

Editor’s Note: The Maiden of Darkness dev is named Onmi, not Omni.

Is there a way I can view the pages side by side, like a magazine?

I don’t know of any mobile way, but on computers you can download the file, then there’s an option in most viewers to view in a two-page mode.

It’s crazy to see the interview we did in the pages! But uh… it’s… it’s Onmi. Not Omni.

I’m so sorry, I don’t know how I made that mistake! I’ll clarify in the post!

It’s okay it happens!

Well, I hadn’t expected I’d make front page of magazines when I started to make my silly little “what if evil man win” projects.

Thank you so much for featuring my thing. It feels nice to feel appreciated.

What a pleasure to start the day with the new edition of Archanea Monthly ! :newspaper_roll:

The review of Dark Stones was really cool and show what looks the most interesting in the project ! I only played Princess’s Lament of SaintRubenio, which was already a interesting reinterpretation of FE8, so It’s been a while that I’m intrigued by Dark Stones. Hope to find time to play it soon ! :eyes:

Also I didn’t knew about FE Inferno, but the project looks promising ! I really like the idea of trying to recreate demonology things into actual gameplay mechanics ! I will be sure to check the hack thread

And I really liked all the interviews ! With how big Do5 revival have become, it was very interesting to heard what the team have to say on how the project (from the unfinished original until the closure of the remake) affected their lives collectively !
And it was a very good idea to have different hackers of FE6 talk about their different approach to why they made an overhaul of the game, and it’s interesting to see where they lookalike and where they differ ! Omni’s interview was quite touching notably

So again congrats Gultykappa for this amazing entry :fire:

This will also be a tab in the OP, but I’ve made a form for submitting projects to be featured in the magazine, since lots of people have sent me requests, and having something like this to log them all down will mean I won’t forget them somehow lol. If you’ve already sent me yours, you don’t have to resubmit the form, but you can if it gives you peace of mind.

I don’t think I’ll give an option for interviews, at least not right now, since those are usually determined with a theme or coinciding with something, like the FE6 overhaul interviews or Do5’s interview for its recent full release.

What can you submit? Romhacks, FE-style games, and indie titles, from just the planning and conceptual phase to fully complete, art/writing/music/code/tool promotions or showcases, or anything else that would fit that I can’t think about right now. You can submit updates to your hack if it’s been featured in Archanea Monthly before, but I ask that they be significant in content, or that it’s been a significant amount of time since it was last featured.
