Fire Emblem Echoes: original or remake first?

Hello guys!
I’m really interested in echoes and I know it’s the remake of gaiden for nes, but I’ve never played gaiden so far.
I want your advice, do I have to play gaiden first and then play echoes or do I have to simply play echoes when it’s released?

They’re basically the same game, Shadows of Valentia is just Gaiden with some new stuff and Quality of Life updates. You might as well just play SoV at this point.
